I would say something like elden ring might be worth that price point given the breadth of the experience. Thing is, Elden ring is actually kinda too big. I like it, but a run through is like a multi week commitment, and I definitely don’t want that to be the norm, especially for fromsoft.
Definitely 456-123 order, I know some people have different ways they prefer to watch but I think that kind of detracts from watching how the franchise evolves over the years.
If you want more after that, rogue one and andor is pretty good, clone wars/bad batch has some good stuff (though I’d recommend finding a watch guide for clone wars, some episodes are straight up kids stuff, other episodes are almost literally Vietnam war and decapitations)
I think the sequels are interesting to watch, I’m a bit of an 8 apologist in some areas, but you have to go in with the expectation that there’s a general decline in story progression and making sense from movie to movie.
Honestly though I think the series has a general decline after 5. It’s all not bad, and there’s some good stuff, but if you find yourself uninterested don’t force yourself to continue after like episode 6.
Oh shit now I’m sad.
Prey 2018, when you break through the glass. The whole game was good, but that first bit was stellar.
Mostly due to lack of support from the developers, but that often reaches into willful obstruction. People are stubborn and clever, if it can run on windows it can likely run on Linux, but the devs will sometimes put willful roadblocks against things running on Linux. Allegedly to stop cheats, though since most anti cheat software does support Linux I think they just don’t want to deal with the OS.
It is, but that’s like, hard.
The post work exhaustion will get easier over time, but it’s a trick to balance. Make sure you’re keeping your health good, getting adequate rest, etc. There will be some adjustment, some changes, it all depends on the kind of work you do and how hard you can avoid burning out.
Good luck, it will likely get better.
I suddenly feel very small, but also the load off my shoulders lifted.

Core problem you come across in multiplayer team games is that there is often required support roles that are less generally desirable to play than the usual gameplay experience. E.g. people want to shoot guns rather than heal teammates.
So when you lose a team game, it’s often pretty easy to look at what your team was doing, and figure it what vital support roles weren’t being filled.
This can lead to what we see in the meme here, where you reflexively blame your teammates not fulfilling support obligations collectively, healing in this case. This blame assignment also purposely glosses over the fact that you were perfectly capable of identifying the problem, yet didn’t switch to a support role yourself. This helps shift the blame, and absolves you of the responsibility of the loss, managing your own emotional state.
Because this helps regulate your own emotional state, it becomes reinforced behaviour, and you become reliant on it over time. You point out issues that aren’t there, become hyper critical of others, anything to make sure you aren’t at fault. It even goes so far as becoming reflexive at the very concept of a lost round, or any negative outcome. It’s not uncommon for people to make mistakes while they’re alone, and then retroactively blame their teammates for not being there with a “WHERE WAS TEAM!?!?”
In general, it’s a huge problem in games like Dota or LoL. Toxicity borne from negative emotions is now part of the core gameplay experience in public matches, which leads to others doing the same. I myself can’t even boot Dota anymore because of the associated negativity, despite not actively not engaging with it myself.
I think they actually did? The most recent update was the whole source code for TF2 iirc
Same as every other money minded entity, if they speak out they’ll be shouted down or destroyed. Ethics don’t matter, number go up.
The fuck good is low hanging fruit if their rhetoric doesn’t have any teeth?
That’s fair. I played through reload when it came out, but I couldn’t get through the answer. I really enjoyed the story, but so much Tartarus without enough between it was like eating dry cinnamon.
Eh crunchyroll killed animelab which was a better service all round, I guess what goes around comes around.
I didn’t even know it was a thing, thanks, I’ll check it out!
I can confirm Balatro stole straight up a week of my time at once, high recommend.
Fights in tight places is pretty good, though I think works better with a mouse.
Tunic is actually amazing, framerate bottoms out a touch but that’s mostly me refusing to turn the settings down.
I’ve also been playing Prince of Persia 2008, mostly to see if I could. You can enable gyro to mouse and you get up getting this neat 3d effect if you set it up right.
I’ve only had mine for like a month but yeah, so far everything has run out of the box.
And if it like blows in the wind that’s a whole jigglebone system and wind simulation that’s a lot of stuff going on
