Any of these words? Why can’t we say “lava” or “from”?
Microw@piefed.zipto Formula 1@lemmy.world•Official stream for Verstappens's Nürburgring race tomorrow | NLS Race 7 | ENEnglish7·6 days ago“Without complaint, Verstappen followed yesterday the theoretical lessons, completed the e-learning, listened to advice from a specialised instructor on the racing lines, and accepted taking part in this race with a car producing less than a third of the power of his Red Bull RB21 F1, not to mention weighting 1320kg. It was a commendable display of humility that once again highlights his passion for the sport.”
Good for him! I understand why other drivers consider these requirements to be ridiculous once they’ve competed in top world championships, but Nordschleife still is something special

What we currently see is similar to how ActivityPub looked when it was first drawn up as a protocol: when 99% of users were on Mastodon GmbH’s server.
The ten thousands of servers came later. And in theory ATProto is defined open enough that it is possible to implement it independently from Bluesky.

I don’t think we well see him in the F1 paddock any time soon…

Well, this has been very lucrative for the minority shareholders who bought their shares when McLaren was worth way less than what they sold those shares for now

Good directors are very specialized TV production people, and therefore have a big money worth.

But yes, he is very knowledgeable about F1 history. I think it comes down to the fact that FOM Media come up with very different challenges and tasks every year, so some - like “how tall are all the drivers” - are not as beatable with that knowledge.
For Hungary it is tradition and Hungarian ceramic is world wide renowed. For Zaandvort I have no idea why though

If Herta does a season of F2 in 2026, he could then step up into a Cadillac seat for 2027.

Fair assessment, I guess, but weird in that all the other teams seem to come to a different conclusion

Take a look at Checo and Valtteri's numbers over the yearsEnglish3·22 days agoCheco was definitely done dirty, but IMO he genuinely had a few stints of poor performances in his time there. At the same time he was a good number 2 in other stints.
It is a fact that most drivers of their generation have struggled somewhat with the current regulation cars.
Singapore sprint will probably be held in the afternoon, so at least there is a variation of circumstances from the race
