“Hey Linux, can you just delete this file please?”
“Sure thing bud, a program is using it, it’s ok, I will just unlink the inode anyway, the program can still access it until it closes the file”
As always, I got the username wrong…

I brush my teeth only once a day and last time I went to the dentist, she said that teeth were perfect and that I must brush them like 2 or 3 times a day.
I told her that I only brush them once a day and sometimes forget it entirely and she was surprised.

Not sure how old this website is, but judging by the design, it looks older than me.
It’s has transcriptions of all my favourite TV series!

Discovery is my least preferred star trek I’ve watched so far, I mean, it’s not “bad” per se, it’s just different from the rest of star trek and has a different formula.
The thing with discovery is that everything happens really fast, there’s always a sense of urgency and hurry, but actual plot development happens really slowly.
Conflict takes a whole season to resolve, instead of standard one episode which you expect from a star trek show.
Also, I hate how the actors mumble instead of talking.
It’s not bad, it’s just not my favourite format.
Anime, series, internet, comics, manga, and ofc music. Some casual games and literature, sometimes.
Also helps having a hobby like music production or 3D modeling, this is, all done on the computer ofc, outside of the computer there’s no world, just a neverending roads and buildings and cars and stores and more of the same.
The number of keystrokes needed to type an underscore is the same that you need to type backslash space, so I don’t see how underscores are in improvement
While not full proof, but you can always sandbox it with firejail or bubblewrap.
But make sure to read the documentation thoroughly.
The overall lore is that humans in the future build empires and enslave several species like the ood.
Humans conquer planets and dry all it’s resources with no regards for native life, they drain the swap and enslave the swamp people to mine toxic minerals.
Companies are all powerful, and the government extremely corrupt.
There are many ways they could make it match, they could pass it as a parallel universe somehow, or maybe make some god from the pantheon of discord together with some Q bridge the worlds.
I always found quite funny how Doctor Who’s universe is much darker than Star Trek. Doctor Who’s universe is more akin to Star Trek’s mirror universe where are human empires that enslave smaller planets, while on Star Trek there’s the federation and all.
This, but synthesiser, while also play piano sounds on my midi keyboard, I find that synth sound is the most etheric, specially if I dial it myself or edit the presets.
I was looking for this. Couldn’t remember the name.
Just don’t buy OLED and it won’t darken, if you buy OLED get ready to replace the extensive TV every 5 years no matter what brand you buy.
As for removing bloatware I have no idea since my TV is from around 2010 and I only use it connected to the computer, but you can always just get a raspberry pi and install kodi on it and use the TV as a normal dumb TV. It’s also good for your privacy.
W-what? ENT isn’t old Star Trek, old Star Trek is TOS, r-right?
I used to download and seed torrents 24/7 directly from my shitty consumer smr drive.
Not only speed was very slow but I think I killed the drive because of that.
I’m still thinking how I’m going to proceed now that I’m setting up my NAS again, I think I’m going to have to torrent to some smaller, cheaper but higher quality drive and then copy to the smr archive, until I can afford an enterprise drive.
It’s also possible that I killed the drive due to bad heat management, but in the datasheet it says something that I’m only supposed to use it for 2h a day per year and not 24/7.
From my personal ethics standpoint, intellectual property is a form of private property which I’m against, also a form or artificial scarcity, which I’m also against.
If you want to support a small artist? You can maybe donate to them directly? Is that a thing? Maybe they have a patreon or something? In my case I have way less money than the artists I consume from so donating would make no sense.
Also, the act of making a copy doesn’t remove the original, the artist doesn’t get poorer because you pirate their content.
