The worst is when for some reason avoiding doing something pays off and incentives you to procrastinate again in the future.

      Oh, absolutely.

Procrastinating feels horrible, but has never, ever failed to result in anything but a moderate to extremely good outcome. So I will never learn to not do it.

The “bears,” in my life: laundry, dishes, picking up dog poo, taking out trash, vacuuming, responsibility, and the three score other things I’ll remember at 3:12am.

He owns a wine company called Pursued By Bear, the name of which is a reference to a joke in Shakespeare play scripts

The scripts were a mystery to scholars until they were decoded in 1998, coincidentally the same year the Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table

I realized a while ago that I didn’t even enjoy the time when I wasn’t doing the thing because I was dreading the thing or its consequences of not doing it the entire time, so I’ve been practicing just telling my procrastinating brain to shut the fuck up and go do it and it’s sort of been working.
