One of the transfer sources yesterday was saying that we might be going in for Sesko and Gyorkeres. That would cost us about £150m. It seems like an impractical strategy, but man would that be exciting!
I’m surprised we haven’t been linked with Wissa from Brentford yet. He’d be a decent backup striker.

Carlos Vela finally officially retired… I thought he already did
Bloody hell, that name’s a blast from the past! The main thing I remember from his brief time with us was how he almost always tried to chip the opposition keeper when he was in on goal. He became very predictable after the spectacular goal he scored the first time he tried that. From the wing he definitely past the eye test - he was very fast and a good dribbler. But Wenger never had faith in him, probably for good reason.
I watch quite a bit of MLS (even back on ESPN days) and he was hands down one of the best strikers of the league. But football is a job to him not a career. Got injured and really has not played in two seasons, lost his house to the LA fires. Probably trying to put his life back together the past few months and decided meh not coming back. He can play and watch basketball all he wants now.
