    Yes.

    Invariably, no matter what, I always go the wrong way first.

    If I remember that, and then go the opposite way of where my internal compass says to go, then I still go the wrong way.

    It’s a remarkable curse. XD

    My mind doesn’t really have a map. More like places I know are isolated islands in a fog of war with no relation to each other

    Very much the opposite–I have always had a strong natural sense of direction.

    My partner’s brother was like this when he came to visit us. He’d drive in a random direction for a while and then call and be unable to describe where he was.

    That’s my honey who is more OCD than anything according to his therapist. However I can remember how to get back to that house party 30 years ago that one friend of a friend drove us to. Navigating happens to be my superpower.
