        And his mum is his agent, and her priority is his career development and happiness over money. So surely she sees that him staying with us and being surrounded by friends and support is much better than him moving to Madrid where nobody cares about him, and watching his career stall over there.

    Not football but watched basically the entire new season of Doctor Who today… I’m not sure what I can make of this season finale. Tbh, I enjoyed last season more than this one, but I did really like the Story and the Engine episode.

    Still think they did Ruby dirty though with her arc.

      It’s clear to me that Ruby got replaced and Belinda was cast in her stead. They do nothing with Mundy, Poppy shows up for some reason, Belinda does nothing for most of the finale, Mrs Flood somehow is both the companions’ neighbours.

      you know who showing up again sucks. pure nostalgia baiting. It’s clear also that the story after Poppy disappeared got changed for the worse for the reshoots this year for the you know what reasons

        it’s also just… the finale is surprisingly sexist and conservative? Especially considering how several of the episodes actively criticise what RTD ends up doing in it, and they were literally written BY him.

            I mean as in even afterwards, in the Reality War after people break out of it. You have stuff like Belinda being forced into having a baby she doesn’t remember, “best male”, Rose just popping into existence and then doing nothing and also not being with UNIT for the reshot scene before regeneration (though that’s probably a scheduling thing but even so), Anita being reduced to holding a door open for most of the episode (though maybe that’s cuz she was actually pregnant irl during filming), Belinda’s role being to hold a child in a box and not participate in the plot, the Doctor scanning Poppy without consent even though Belinda complained in her first appearance about the Doctor doing that, Belinda not travelling anymore because she has a baby now and that’s a good thing even though she said she wanted to before Poppy was remembered…
