      It’s a vestigial structure from when the meme format was first introduced. It was meant to show doing something despite no one requesting it. It could work without it, but then it’s considered a different meme format.

      Named aptly in game files as “Gonarch”.

      It also squirted white corrosive liquid on you.

      The mini-headcrabs were kinda cute, though.

    Looks like it was a recycled idea from fallout when the super mutants had those bags of flesh and organs hanging everywhere with ammo and stimpaks lol
