I don’t understand why it’s so difficult. In France voting is done entirely on paper and results are often released later that night, and almost all the results are in by the next day. Same in the UK, although it generally takes them a few hours longer, probably because the polls close later in the evening.

I think this is a pretty dumb topic, because it really involves a lot of stereotyping and bullshit (like the other comment suggesting that fancy cars aren’t linked to penis size anxiety) but anyway…
If we take “penis size” as a metric that men believe is important to their sexual attractiveness, and the assumption that they buy expensive cars to compensate, then we could see the goal as increasing their diminished sexual value in an alternative way. A rich man with a small penis may (in this silly logic) be as sexually attractive as a poor man with a large penis.
So for women, what is a stereotypical number that they could worry about and try and compensate for? The two that spring to mind (in this clichéd view of the sexual economy) are age and weight. Weight feels different, as there are methods of managing it that are more effective than “this secret ancient method will grow your dong 3 inches!” but for many people it is not an easily controlled factor. Age is, chronologically at least, a one way street. For both of these, make-up and grooming are pretty effective at reducing the “negatives” (bleurgh!) of being old / overweight, but that would be the equivalent of men stuffing socks and salami down their pants. What is the equivalent of “I’m not conventionally sexually attractive, but I have other redeeming qualities, like a willingness to waste money trying to impress women”? I wonder if it’s “being kinda slutty”?
When I think of the equivalent to the cliché of the needy middle-aged businessman in his sports car, I think of the stereotype of the middle-aged, overweight, divorcée wearing too much makeup and dressing too young/slutty. She’s not really trying to pretend she’s young and hot, she’s visibly demonstrating that’s she’s willing to make an effort to attract a man “if I’m willing to look like this in public, think how much of an effort I’ll make on the sack!”
But I think this is a pretty silly topic, and making stereotyped judgements about other people is pretty bad. The “facists have small dicks” memes that kick about are kinda funny, but are really just reinforcing a body image problem that exists much more in society and the minds of men than it does in the tastes of their actual sexual partners. And women can be whatever age, weight or whatever else they want, and dress how they like. Some people just love leopard print! No need to project society’s ills onto them!

He is! 95% mice, very occasional birds. I had attributed that to birds other advantages (mostly being able to harass him by flying at him but not low enough he can reach) but perhaps it’s also the colour!

These comments have confirmed what is found from googlin, it’s not possible. I’m just kinda surprised? Is there a technical reason? And it’s not just these switches, I’ve had the same problem with trying to setup a chromecast in rented accommodation where I can’t change the WiFi router settings.
It just seems like a simple option to include. I can choose whether my sim connects to 3g or rg or 5g, but not for WiFi. And from my the posts I’ve found im not alone. Can rooted phones do it?
Yeah, that’s what I’ve done in the past. It seems unnecessarily clunky. Why can’t I control my own WiFi connection? Like, I get why the default is 5ghz when it’s available, but it’s not even a Advanced option.

How not? Is it mildly infuriating that people keep posting actually infuriating stuff to the community. It’s not a huge problem, but it’s definitely mildly infuriating.
I’ve recently started using IP Webcam to turn an old handset into a camera. It’s not open source, but it doesn’t seem to be too annoying, and so far it seems to work surprisingly smoothly and has been up & stable for a couple of weeks.

Sexual activity generally begins earlier, during adolescence, but the most “reproductively successful” age for beginning childbearing has been shown to be around 18-19. Also, this age at first birth isnt “Average age of a child’s mother” as many women would have multiple kids over their life, so the average sibling would have a much older mother at birth than the firstborn.
Its important to remember that puberty has shifted massively since industrialisation, "menarche age has receded from 16.5 years in 1880 to the current 12.5 years in western societies". So the post-puberty fecundity peak, that use to happen 17-19, when women are fully grown enough to minimise birth complications, now happens at a disressingly young 13-15. Not only is this a big social yuck for most western societies, but it’s reproductively unideal, because of the complications linked to childbirth at that age.
