A deadbolt is great, but it’s easier to break a window than pick even a bad lock. If you don’t live in a neighborhood where everyone has bars over their windows, you probably don’t need to keep your deadbolt locked all the time.

A deadbolt is more secure than the lock on the doorknob, but both can be picked or broken. Lots of homes have both locks on the front door, and in a lot of areas just the doorknob lock is secure enough if you’re leaving for a couple hours in the middle of the day.

Based on this research paper, washing with soap and warm water is enough to remove harmful bacteria.

Because 99.999% of the time the hardware you’re buying is different from the hardware you have prior experience with. Even if the model numbers are the same there could be a change in hw or fw revision that breaks compatability with whatever drivers you previously had success with.

I live in America and haven’t noticed this as a man, I assume the misogynists have enough self awareness to keep it somewhat out of sight. Using your analogy, this is more like telling someone there’s an unlocked door and asking them to find it on their own using blueprints.

Not a prefect analogy, but they didn’t tell the AI where the vulnerability was in the code. They just gave it the CVE description (which is intentionally vague) and a set of patches from that time period that included a lot of irrelevant changes.

The US currently employs “volunteer” troops, but also requires all male citizens to register for a future draft. Many living veterans were drafted. And many others were in vulnerable situations that recruiters recognized and preyed upon. Once you join the US military, it’s a crime to quit.

There is clearly some nuance needed when taking about US war veterans.

I don’t think any cops have been drafted into police service. They also don’t go to jail if they quit their job. And I haven’t heard of police recruiters using predatory tactics and targeting disadvantaged groups. The military does, or has done, all of those things to recruit troops.

That’s a new one, kids called it “paper view” when I was growing up. It’s pay-per-view, and you could get it on cable and satellite too.

According to the article, they were under investigation for over 5 years. I wonder if they would be less willing to open new investigations given recent events.
