We must increase our pressure against Elon Musk. Until he’s bankrupt or behind bars he’s still a huge threat to our country. Boycott all his companies. Sell your Tesla stock (it’s high right now I can’t predict the future but maybe it’s peaked right now), stop using Twitter if you use it. Contact pension funds and demand they divest from Tesla.

For Starlink If you think it’s the only choice for you maybe if you’re just on the edge of cell phone reception you can use a parabolic antenna to get a reliable signal for 5g internet. This will likely be lower cost than Starlink. OneWeb has a competing service but they don’t sell directly, I’m not sure how you can switch to OneWeb. Project Kuiper just launched their first satellites about a month ago. AST SpaceMobile might be an option too. If those options aren’t available to you I predict there will be more alternatives for Starlink within the coming years.

I see this article as being step one or maybe I’d say step zero for people. You’re healing from the abuse caused by Trump. I think even if people only did what this article suggested and nothing else it would make a fairly big different, I don’t think it would completely stop him. The advice in the article applies to everyone including those in the media who are enabling Trump.

If you want some actionable items I would suggest helping people boycott the biggest donors to the GOP. Boycott Elon Musk by boycotting Twitter and Boycotting Tesla, this is most important boycott since he was the biggest donor. There are initial signs the boycotts are starting to work, if we keep the pressure up we can defeat the highest donor to the GOP. Then we can move on to other high donors to the GOP such as Uline. I would also recommend in parallel start working towards building more political will for moving away from fossil fuels, since they’re hurting the planet and also because they donate tons of money to the GOP.

I feel there’s a little bit of wishcasting going on here. How much has the media narrative been slipping away? Sadly it looks like Trump’s polling has made somewhat of a recovery although part of that could be due to partisan pollsters responding to Trump’s accusations that other polls are “fake”. This means we need to fight harder and keep doing the work so his polls go down. Conservatives are still stuck in an echo chamber. We need to get them out of it. I think the best way to do it so take away the fuel/money that powers the propaganda machines rather than trying to reason with individual people.

Also as for wondering about the next crazy thing he’ll do I don’t think much about this much because it I think it might help keep us in a cycle of trauma. I personally just focus on what I can be doing each day to make a difference and hopefully use my voice to make other people feel empowered and realize they too have a lot of power to make things better just by using their voices and contacting a few people and doing things like that.
