That is undeniably a Nazi salute. I’m actually more surprised he didn’t yell “HEIL DONALD” too
It’s funny that Xiaohongshu is popping off right on the cusp of a TikTok ban. They’re not even flocking to established US alternatives.
Oh yeah, 100% “leopards ate my face” vibes
I mean the Trumpists got what they wanted 🤷♂️
This is one defeat that I think we can no longer blame on Russian interference.
Kamala Harris was such a disliked candidate that she lost the popular vote to a convicted felon that previously tried to spark a right wing insurrection against Congress. A convicted felon whose previous tenure led to the Supreme Court bringing back state level abortion bans, and who was running on the manifesto of turning America into a right wing Christian theocracy staffed by Trump loyalists. Not even Hillary Clinton did this terribly.
Biden should never have ran for a second term, given that he was already showing signs of forgetfulness four years ago, and when he was eventually pushed to resign, the Democrats should have held a snap primary instead of immediately backing Harris.
I refuse to believe that people would be stupid enough to expect somebody who banned people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from even entering the USA in his first term to be pro-Gaza…
Nah, I actually think minorities voted more for Trump because the right have more socially conservative policies.
Either it’s women using filters to touch up their images, or it’s AI slop being pushed to artificially inflate app userbases and make it look like there are actually women on the platform…
Where I was wrong was with how narrow the result would he. It wasn’t even Gore v Bush levels of close unlike when Lichtman’s 13 keys prediction previously failed. Kamala lost the popular vote to a convicted felon that tried to usurp democracy and is the reason why abortion is no longer a federal right. The Republicans spent the last few weeks crapping on Haitians and Puerto Ricans, yet won some districts with large Latino populations.
This is what happens when Democrats ignore their voter base and choose a cabal of unpopular and uncharismatic candidates to carry the torch. The bar is now so low that we need James Cameron to venture out into the Mariana Trench and lift it back up again…
Bernie Sanders
Pete Buttigieg
Or if they could have approached a very popular celebrity such as Dwayne Johnson or Taylor Swift and asked them to run.
Even Andrew Yang could have produced a better result if he made a better campaign pitch than focusing his solely on leftist pipe dreams that will bankrupt the country such as UBI.
I’d argue the opposite.
The fact that Americans are possibly still voting for someone who will bring in the Fourth Reich if elected, over the first female president is a sign of just how badly Democrats have dropped the ball. ESPECIALLY after Jan 6th.
Don’t get me wrong. I hope that I’m wrong and Harris mops the floor with Trump, but the polls on 538 aren’t giving me much hope
I think Trump will win narrowly. Allan Lichtman predicted Kamala but I think some of his arguments for his keys to the white house being/not being turned are shaky.
I think Trump will win because I disagree with Lichtman’s judgement on a few keys:
The No Social Unrest key is False. We seem to be forgetting Jan 6th.
No Scandal key is False. I’d say the incumbent president losing his marbles during a presidential debate and being too senile to move forward is pretty scandalous, also everything surrounding Hunter Biden.
Good short/long term economy is a toss-up. I can’t really say that having a huge national deficit, high inflation and awful living standards in real terms counts, even if America technically isn’t in recession.
Foreign/military success is a toss-up. I wouldn’t count NATO rallying around Ukraine as that.
Even if you disregard Gaza, the US pulling out of Afghanistan and watching as the Taliban retook the whole country within hours counts as a military failure.
Anybody voting against Harris over Gaza is a moron. Trump may be even more pro Israel…
Oh it’s been like that long before January 6th, and long before Trump even stepped foot in the Republican primaries eight years ago.
That wasn’t me defending Jan 6th either. Trump’s little Beer Hall Putsch was frankly inexcusable, and the fact that he’s likely not going to face any kind of criminal repercussions for it makes the US look weaker than the Weimar Republic.
Because American politics is weird and partisan a f.
Anything even remotely left will get you labelled a Commie or tankie by the right, while anything remotely right will get you labelled a Nazi by the left.
Yup, he wanted to say it, but 28 day modmail mute and all 🤷♂️
Actually, the screenshots of the ban messages were found via a Google image search and are not me.
But yeah, Reddit has a problem with rude power mods swinging their banhammer. It’s been documented for years.
Knowing Trump, I wouldn’t be surprised if he went full Nayib Bukele and sent in troops to influence the vote.
And as much as I like Bukele, he presided over unique circumstances where his country was effectively being ruled by MS-13 and his actions were warranted in the case of being elected leader of a country ruled by drug overlords. The USA is going through no such crisis.
