And while Lando has improved massively in this regard (remember his angry drive after his duel with Max in Austria where he destroyed his chances by driving angrily), he still seems to be more affected after he makes a mistake and needs to believe in the moment that he did nothing wrong for him to be able to keep going. (If it works for him it works I guess)

Overtaking on a semi wet track is no small feat. The normal line is quickly going to be a lot faster so as long as he can keep ahead in the first lap, he’s looking good to win.
Neither Norris nor Piastri will want to risk slipping off the track and possibly lose 18 points to each other. Either of them risking this past lap 1 would be considered as taking a high risk for a low reward.
There’s things wrong with F1 and you can argue about the price, but if you like watching the feeder series and or better summaries, I really would advise giving F1tv a shot.

About the race itself, it looked like even though McLaren say they have two equal drivers they seem to intentionally give bad strategies to Piastri when he’s behind. Though logically I think it’s probably just shitty strategies they actually thought were good.

I’m frustrated I can’t seem to find a place to buy it for pc easily. (Admittedly it’s not like I’m trying very hard since I’m not really interested in tweaking with simulators and stuff.) There was a game with that name in a sega retro thing sold on Steam but it’s definitely not the original version. I still know the start by heart.
How is CS2 working on it? I know I could just try to get it running myself on a spare pc, but I find that as I get older I dislike fiddling with things like this more and more. And while I’m fine with just playing games made to work properly on Linux, CS2 and it’s predecessors is something me and my real life friends have been playing for nearly two decades. It’s a way to keep in touch as everyone has kids and can’t come to the pub during the weekend.

While his starts are more variable I’m not sure that’s a mental strength thing. I guess it could be but in Spa you could for example hear him complain about his lack if energy as the reason for why Oscar overtook him. He can’t acknowledge in the moment he made several mistakes. Which I don’t think is abnormal, but from the outside it looks as though if he can’t have that external cause for his problems, he spirals into performing worse than when he does have the external excuse.
