I actually have no idea! It’s from the Going to Seed organization, so it’s a bunch of different corn from disparate genetic origins thrown together in one seed packet to see what likes your local conditions. So far it’s not doing too badly for being neglected lol
Growing a grain for the first time myself! Have a small plot of corn. I’m really hoping I have enough for pollination, but it’s just a test regardless
RSS is awesome. My favorite fun fact is that podcasts are RSS-based, which is why you can listen to any of them from any podcast app.

I just scroll through the phys.org feeds that I’m interested and pick stuff up from there. You probably could use regex to filter it down to specifically stuff like this using a list of keywords, though I’m not the person to ask how to do that.

Daryl76679@lemmy.mlOPto Gardening@mander.xyz•Feed My Plant Addiction and Recommend Me Edible Plants1·7 months agoThank you for this awesome resource! Though I don’t live in that area, it certainly is useful. Oh, and I did add my hardiness zone. Don’t know how I missed that
Daryl76679@lemmy.mlOPto Gardening@mander.xyz•Feed My Plant Addiction and Recommend Me Edible Plants2·7 months agoSome very interesting picks! I actually have quite a bit of Chaya outside, but I haven’t sampled it yet. It was here long before I got here. There was also a sour orange tree, but it succumbed to a whole host of issues that I couldn’t even begin to identify. The flowers smell divine though. I notice that you have several plants from the ginger family on your list. Any tips for growing them? I’ve been failing rather hilariously with any attempts just working with the usual stuff from the grocery store.
Daryl76679@lemmy.mlOPto Gardening@mander.xyz•Feed My Plant Addiction and Recommend Me Edible Plants2·7 months agoI’ve been eying some figs for awhile. I have a very small citrus seedling. Don’t even remember what fruit it came from (probably a lemon), though it’s very fragrant

The in-game tutorial and tooltips are pretty good though, and will get you started. Overtime you’ll discover more and more systems. Oh and just so you know, the demo is the full game, but a version behind.
Daryl76679@lemmy.mlto Gaming@lemmy.ml•Do you know any singleplayer games that are infinitely replayable?5·11 months agoHave to throw CK3 out as my personal favorite grand strategy game (though EU4 and the like are other options). There’s nigh infinite content in weaving the story of your family and realm, and mods add a whole new layer to it.

Daryl76679@lemmy.mlto Gaming@lemmy.ml•Do you know any singleplayer games that are infinitely replayable?6·11 months agoDefinitely was my first thought. I think that I’ve spent way more time on that game than I’d like to admit.
It wasn’t that hard for me to flash a Chromebook with Linux using this guide

I mean I guess. They aren’t actively fighting or anything like that to my knowledge. I personally think the Privacy Guides is the better resource, because PrivacyTools has vpn recommendations like Nord and Surfshark with affiliate links that are not actively disclosed from my quick check.
Try Brave Search, Duckduckgo, Startpage, or Searxng. For more detail on these recommendation (that I definitely did not just steal), check out the Privacy Guides page, or The New Oil for a different, albeit overlapping, set of recommendations and take on search engines.
Definitely a good resource. Did not know that cherry blossoms usually face down! Thanks for sharing
