Absolutely agree with pirating. Even buying second hand will keep money from going to their pockets/estates.

They Rewired the Election.5·5 days agoThe biggest question I came away from, is reading that they claim there are cell modems in the election machines or possibly the UPS backups. Is that even confirmed? The whole article hinges on that being true. If it is, then yes, I can believe the backdoor potential they lay out. If not, then each machine would need to be tampered with individually.
To be clear, the voting data presented is and has always felt suspicious, and an investigation should occur regardless.
Gerudo@lemm.eeto Games@lemmy.world•The Witcher 4 Developer Calls Xbox Series X "Extremely Challenging" for 60FPSEnglish4·7 days agoYou have 2 options for the S. Aim for 60 fps, or 30fps. If you target 60, most newer engine titles will look like the new Doom did at 60 fps, garbage. You have to run at such a low resolution to make it possible. At 30fps, you can at least not look like your screen is smeared with vaseline at the sacrifice of smoothness.
Give the player the option of 30/60 so they we can play how we want.
Gerudo@lemm.eeto Games@lemmy.world•A game you "didn't know it was bad 'til people told you so"?English17·7 days agoA lot of people didn’t like Assassins Creed Odyssey, but I loved it. Only AC I’ve played since 2.
I will probably reinstall this. Looks like a huge upgrade.
Give your potential date an option of drinks [if you’re ok with alcohol obviously) or coffee/tea. It let’s them decide what they are comfortable with.
I just want him around long enough to see this made, and to get his parts in for Yogurt.

We need these rural counties to realize the republican party doesn’t give a shit about them to turn blue. Too many Rs with their head in the sand.
For fucks sake, our energy grid is making fuck tons of money on wind power, yet the Rs constantly try to tear it down.

Gerudo@lemm.eeto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•watching pirated streaming sucks compared to OG torrent wayEnglish25·27 days agoI exclusively stream torrents. It’s almost flawless for me. The trick is you need a paid service like real debrid to get access to the good links. If you are only searching free ones, it’s going to be low quality, and selection sucks. I use RD and Kodi personally, it also allows you to torrent traditionally, too, and without the need of a VPN if your isp is nosey.

Gerudo@lemm.eeto Steam Deck@sopuli.xyz•With the Legion Go S, we can now directly compare performance between official builds of SteamOS and Windows2·27 days agoI was going to put an explanation on why I can’t use Linux, but it doesn’t matter. I’m someone who can’t make the leap yet with the software and game services I use. I want to be, but I just can’t yet.
This is why the original commenter shouldn’t get downvoted for asking about 10 iot benchmarks because I, too, am looking to convert to this version when consumer 10 support ends this year. If it works on my desktop well, I’d likely try it on my Rog Ally.
Gerudo@lemm.eeto Steam Deck@sopuli.xyz•With the Legion Go S, we can now directly compare performance between official builds of SteamOS and Windows4·28 days agoThere is plenty of software that doesn’t, and plenty of games that don’t run on Linux, even beyond anticheat games. If it wasn’t true, we wouldn’t need protondb telling us what is and isn’t. You can advocate for Linux all day, but you have to admit there is still software that is 100% Windows only.
In a single person’s lifetime, we went from not flying to landing on the moon. We absolutely can produce AGI in most of our lifetimes. I predict within 15-20 years, we will have a functioning AGI. It may also need to coincide with actually figuring out quantum computing just for sheer computational needs.
This all hinges on if investments in AI continue at its current pace, which we already see cracks in though.
