Flashdrives are not forever storage. Flashdrives corrupt literally all the time. And old flashdrives that sit around also corrupt while not in use. If you care about your data, store that data in multiple places. Follow the data hygiene rules. 3 2 1: 3 copies of the data, on 2 different storage mediums, with 1 copy off-site.
That’s not even the case though. Using a memorized passphrase that can be broken down into individual words is susceptible to dictionary attacks provided you know what the length of the password is. You can algorithmically sort away swathes of the dictionary based on how many likely word combinations exist before searching unusual word combinations. The thing is, passwords suck. It doesn’t matter how long the password is, if someone wants in, they’ll crack the password or steal it via some other means. Instead of relying on a strong password, you need to be relying on additional proof factors for sign in. Proper MFA with actual secure implementation is far more secure than any password scheme. And additionally, hardware key authentication is even more secure. If you are signing into an account and storing important data there, you do not want to rely on passwords to keep that data secure.
The reason for the character limit on passwords is often to prevent malicious attacks via data dumping in the password dialogue box. Longer numbers take more CPU cycles to properly salt and encrypt. Malicious actors may dump as many characters in a password system as they wish if they wanted to take down a service or at least hurt performance.
Additionally, even if you just used lowercase letters, an 18 character password would take 12 RTX 5090s approximately 284 thousand years to crack according to the recent Hive Systems report.
24 characters is more than enough to be secure as far as passwords alone go. Just know that, nobody is out here brute forcing passwords at any length these days, there are infinite more clever ways of hacking accounts than that.
I don’t personally think it’s true. I think Trump’s first term he spent all day and night on putins dick and this term he is trying to achieve a similar staying power. He wants to be more powerful than Putin.
I’ve seen this meme before, therefore it is inconveniencing my internet experience and that is against the rules!
It’s more dangerous than if we were unpresidented
If you read the article, you would have seen that the title of the article matches the title of the post…
When convention doesn’t convey the proper flow of the conversation then you have to improvise. I’ve seen this in western comics before, though I don’t have any examples on hand. The bubbles have a tail indicator to show who is speaking and a flow indicator to show the order in which the bubbles are spoken. It is a little strange in this case but it’s not unheard of and it does the job it was drawn to do.
The connection between the bubbles guides you to the next bubble in order of dialogue. Without it it would read as if the man says everything first before the woman speaks which is incorrect.
It makes sense to me. You start in the top left like how you read and then you get a direction for the order of the conversation. I read it naturally at intended the first time through.
I’ve always read it as Ka-care-ick-co but I always hear people say Kack-a-rico
That’s after the DNC pulled the leash on his more progressive stances. He has a very clear, fall in line moment shortly after being picked for VP candidate.
He literally did not. He has historically publicly backed Israel and after the October 20th attack, he was pro Israel and anti Hamas but has always stated that not all Palestinians are Hamas and that the death of innocent Palestinians is unacceptable. He also publicly called for a permanent ceasefire and has stated that American Pro-palastinian protesters are doing public good and fighting for the right ideas.
His stance on Israel vs Palestine is pretty agreeable. Palestine ≠ Hamas and Israel should be held accountable for the deaths of innocent Palestinians.
Except, before the DNC reeled him in with kamala’s campaign, he regularly had excellent policy and progressive stances that would shake the middlest of middle right Dems. Things like free school lunches and gender affirming care and reproductive health care protections from the federal government. I would take him over Kamala any day to be quite honest.
That’s what the primaries are for. Selecting a candidate for your party to proceed with. The general election should set aside that division with the candidate having been chosen for the party already.
The same can be said for many neurodivergent “disorders” like ADHD and OCD and Depression. Though I would point out that many of these disorders could easily be recategorized as traits and everyone has some number of traits regardless of if you are seen as neurotypical or not. I would argue that “treatment” is a modification of traits such that we fit a mold in modern society and not necessarily to make us better for our own sake but for the sake of those around us that don’t understand how our brains work.
I medicate to make myself less of an inconvenience for you. Not necessarily to make my life better for me.
Not the case for all neurodivergents but I know a lot who share the sentiment.
We already have minimum ages higher than 19… Also tech literacy is massively important when the law writing bodies are writing laws about tech. Most of our modern laws are anchored in tech that 60 year old, life long politicians just don’t know anything about. Also term limits are a separate issue from age entirely. I don’t think any government position should be life time appointment and I definitely don’t think that a government position should give you any real financial advantage over anyone else in the country. Government jobs should just be jobs like every other salary position in the country. It should also come with restrictions on stock trading and anything else that corrupts. That’s why I suggest a jury system for an ethics review board.
It’s absolutely an age issue. When was the last time you met someone over the age of 60 who was both good with computers and technology in general and also has never worked in the tech industry? Id also love to see the number of government elected officials who have ever suffered any sort of real poverty and compare their ages to their peers. I guarantee that spreadsheet alone tells a novel.
I want to see an enforced retirement age, a maximum age for first time election, and a strict term limit for all positions of government. I would also love to see all elected and appointed officials stripped of the right to financial privacy and a sort of jury system of a quarterly ethics board made up of citizens chosen at random to make review decisions on official government actions.
It’s time citizens had more control over our government. They are employed by our tax dollars after all.
They make batteries for raspberry pi too you know.
