That’s actually super cool! (Admittedly, one of my favourite youtube channels is practical engineering so I am not an authority on actual coolness.)
Honestly, carefully looking on marketplace, being willing to travel to the bougie end of town got me a high end microwave for cheapish and I’m never ever going back.
Sensor reheat, just heats my damn food. Frozen food setting, hell yeah, all thawed perfectly.
The rich live better and I’m fine enjoying their leavings.
Lauchs@lemmy.worldto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Boycotting FOSS projects in the wake of the "buy canadian/european" movement makes no sense1·3 months agoStabilizing might not be quite the right word I’m looking for. But for example, trying to connect a new wifi card etc. Or when one program updates but this causes instability and you have to undo the update. Even from the handful of linux wizards I know, their battle stories with updates or new configurations are enough to terrify someone.
In what way was your response meaningfully different from your original comment?
Are you an llm? Most humans, instead of restating what they’ve already said, actually read the comment to which they are replying.
Wait, this seems silly. You are in effect saying that it’s wrong to blame those who stayed home because some of them would have voted for trump? Like, we’d still blame those people too had they actually voted trumo.
The blame isn’t just because you voted for trump it is because you didn’t try to stop him, which applies both to those who voted for him and those who didn’t vote.
Lauchs@lemmy.worldto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Boycotting FOSS projects in the wake of the "buy canadian/european" movement makes no sense11·3 months agoI think you’re missing the point a bit.
Both BuyCanadian and BuyEuropean are about supporting their respective economies as they are boycotting America’s.
For Canada, we’re looking at a recession (brought on by our “ally”) so people are trying to help fellow Canadians out as things get rough and people lose jobs.
While I support FOSS and recommend them in threads etc I fully understand why they don’t meet all the goals of those movements. (That being said, I think one of the most rocking counter punches would be EU investment in stabilizing Linux enough to make it a feasible alternative to Windows/Apple for casual and corporate users, solid shot to 2 of the magnificent 7.)
I was so confused, thank you for explaining.
The delightful irony is that late last year, Chinese students started doing a big bicycle ride from Zhengzhou to Kaifeng for dumplings. Too many young folks together gets Chinese officials nervous so the authorities shut it down.
So, master of your own time if the party approves of how you spend said time.

You win.
Lauchs@lemmy.worldto Memes@lemmy.ml•Taxation will not work, we need to just take and devide their money16·5 months agoYes but if we can’t spell divide I’m not sure I’d hold out hope for nuanced or accurate political commentary.
Lauchs@lemmy.worldto Fediverse@lemmy.ml•Is Lemmy becoming too ideologically homogeneous? Thoughts on political diversity in the Fediverse.4·5 months agoI think a lot of the responses you’re getting (and their upvotes) are pretty good reflections of the problem you’re addressing.
I imagine the user base is a bit more diverse than the comments etc let on. It is just exhausting to even try to explain a conservative perspective viewpoint t here so I think a lot of folks just keep their heads down on anything political.
While a lot of folks have zero interest in venturing outside of their ideological comfort zones, I wonder if there sre enough of us that we could make some /community work. There were a few on reddit that were private or super tightly moderated that were pretty interesting for stuff like that…

Ohhhhhh, British Columbian and ex professional here on this one.
Personal “bulk” sales are usually some in 1/8ths (3.5 grams) or more but in stores, the first page of their lil booklet is usually half or full gram pre rolled joints.
Admittedly, for what it’s worth, first time I saw this meme in the wild was at a pot shop while buying a pre rolled gram.

Maybe I’m an asshole but good conversations are a dime a dozen. If we go out, have a good connection and make plans? Personally, I’ll apologize to the others I’m chatting with but I get the ghosting. What percentage of “good” (generally just fine with maybe a solid joke) app convos lead to a connection we both want to pursue? Not all that many.
Thanks!
