If you get in by scholarship, which is not how most people end up in these universities
‘Merit’ is perhaps not the defining factor, rather ‘money’. Or have you guys forgotten what ‘Ivy league’ actually means in the confusion.
Murvel@lemm.eeto Programming@programming.dev•The manager I hated and the lesson he taught me1·2 months agoOne is direct, and the other is not. And you’re right, one is not constructive, and the other is, that’s not coincidence.
What ‘immediate’ even means in this context I don’t know.
Murvel@lemm.eeto Programming@programming.dev•The manager I hated and the lesson he taught me8·2 months agoYes, being indirect. Instead of saying: ‘you did a bad job’, say ‘here are things you can improve for next time’.
On is confrontational and problematic, the other diplomatic and constructive.
Murvel@lemm.eeto Programming@programming.dev•The manager I hated and the lesson he taught me40·2 months agoEverything the author describes can still be accomplished by being diplomatic and understanding without being confrontational and direct. Plus, you build a better, more resilient team that way.

Bullshit, the EU is going hard against China.
The commenter did, so I replied
I know we need to turn away from the US and chart our own course. How can it be more obvious than now?
Yeah, I was talking to another Swede, and what Trump means for us, that is the context…
Last I heard, he was Pro Nato, is all I’m saying.
God I love this thread
And replace it with some industrial grade garbage corn syrap? Hell fucking no
