It was this way when I checked years ago. Still this way as of a few weeks ago.

They have more influence on Wikipedia than people realize. Take note of how often wiki pages for famous people will say they are Jewish in the first two sentences.

Now trace the origin of these edits. Often it came from a username such as “OdinWolf88”. Now look at their edit history. These accounts do nothing but add “he/she is Jewish” to the first two sentences of peoples Wikipedia pages.

That and they troll the pages of right wing mass murders and terrorist attacks.

This is a generalized problem. It’s not only programming. The world faces a critical collapse of expertise if we defer to AI.

Analogies have to make sense. You’re using it to pivot the discussion.

You insult everyone’s intelligence and debase your own. Maybe that’s just your baseline.

Removing review bombs is automated. This happens every single time a business gets negative attention. And every single time people still do it anyways.

It’s part of the propaganda strategy to pick their battles. They never speak on your terms. They only speak when they have the upper hand. Keep in mind in general they never directly acknowledge any of your talking points. Not unless they have an avenue to interject logical fallacies and pivot the dialog to their terms.

The moment they start talking about this they lend credence to your side. It carves open space in public discourse. This is the exact same tactic they use against you. And people fall for it every time. You’re never supposed to lend credence to their trolling. You’re not supposed to feed the trolls. Yet here we are. A decade into this era of internet troll right wing politics. People started feeding the trolls and cannot help themselves.

Yet another escalation to the next level. No consequence comes of it. Death camps can’t be very far off.

I don’t get how their cover of Sound of Silence is a top video on Conans Youtube channel. It’s not that good.

I don’t know how tech (il)literate people are anymore but a basic laptop with portable drives containing media. Portable drives with single folders containing movies, audioooks, music. Compile a few playlist files. Make sure a reasonable player like VLC is the default.

Seems kind of hard to mess up if you can get the nurses to play a list of media once in a while. It’s a simple as a few clicks.

One thing that snapped me out of that phase was a psychology professor saying your actions define what you are.

I don’t think there are as many edgelords anymore anyways. Since the Trump MAGA era nobody pretends. It’s all out in the open now. You either are or you aren’t. Nobody hides behind the “it’s just a joke bro” stuff like in the older internet eras. The bigots aren’t hiding their power level anymore.

Will there ever be an app ecosystem for Linux phones. I don’t see how could happen. I’m talking actual apps like banking or payment systems. Institutional software such as government apps that requires a stable platform. Not a janky Linux system that is prone to breakage every few updates or scatter across different distros. Seems like the year of the linux desktop meme could end up morphing into the year of the linux phone.

That’s what shattered the illusion of Christianity for me as a younger person. Horrible individuals hiding behind an institutional veil of morals.

The past ten years have been even more illuminating. As all of these sorts of issues have been brought to the forefront. One of the common themes I’ve noticed is that the Venn diagram of these types of Christians / conservatives is the overlap is nearly a perfect circle with abusers.

Didn’t they already get something like a trillion dollar tax break in the first term? Once again the language used stuck on brinksmanship. The bad things are going to happen but never do. Until they do happen. The language never changes. It’s the goal posts that move. The bad things that happened are memory holed. The next set of bad things are on the brink of happenning.

I’m pretty sure this is the primary mechanism that has enabled the slide into fascism. The population is reactive. Not proactive. If the perception is that something will happen, not has happened then you successfully subdued resistance all together. There’s nothing to resist if perceptually nothing ever happens. We will never actually eat the rich.

People don’t like being forced to engage with belligerent reactionaries.

Genocide by attrition. Same way they kill off the indigenous. Same way they oppress minorities by making life extremely difficult such that successive generations dwindle.

They’re shirking responsibility. It’s typical. They gloated the whole way about knowing exactly what they’re vote for.

This kind of thing is real. Newbies don’t have experience to know how important architecture is. They continuously mash code without thinking too much. Generative machines have made the problem orders of magnitude worse. It used to be limited to the amount of garbage a human could mash into their keyboard. Now it’s like generated art. People churn out infinite images. They haven’t actually drawn the image themselves.
