I’ve never been a Linux guy but recently I’ve switched to Pop!OS on my laptop and bought a Steam Deck. Other than a few teething issues with the laptop I’ve had a great experience and I wouldn’t consider myself ridiculously tech savvy. I’d absolutely consider switching my gaming PC over but my worry is loss of performance and being unable to use my game pass games. I’d be super happy if I could switch my PC over in the next couple of years.

It was also mostly ignored by people desperate to get their selfie with a postage stamp-sized painting for their social media.

If I’m honest in this case my concern isn’t necessarily that my access will be restricted at some point (or even the very rare dips when it switches servers on entering or leaving an area). It’s more around the fact I’m playing the game effectively in single player and unfortunately that’s likely to have shelf life due to personal circumstances.
Grabbed Mass Effect Legendary Edition on sale for £4.99 and having a blast. Completed the first game last night and now started on the second one. Runs like a dream, EA launcher didn’t cause any issues (I loaded it in desktop mode the first time) and the game is as good as I remember from first time around.
The only issue I’m having is when I use the HDR calibration in game I wind up losing a bunch of detail in dark areas and the image overall is way too dark.
I’ve also picked up subnautica ready to give it a proper go at some point after picking it up and it not quite gripping me on game pass on desktop.
