If she had time to run a proper campaign, then they would have had time to conduct a primary. If they would have had a primary, she wouldn’t have been campaigning.

Yeah, there’s a big difference in protecting Obama or Bill Clinton who are retired statesman living peaceful lives and Trump who has been rallying for the last decade. How much protection is he really entitled to? Especially considering his rhetoric is motivating his would be assassins.
Literally every election is decided by the “undecided”. Democrats vote democrat and republicans vote republican. It rare that anyone changes party. What determines elections is if democrats can get people who wouldn’t otherwise vote to vote. Every time people turn out, democrats win. When people are uninterested they lose. Those ~50k people in suburbs of swing states are not unimportant, they are the only thing that matters.
It’s completely anecdotal, but I just saw a post from the weird, hyper religious kid I was in the Navy with asking if any 3rd party cared about “unborn souls.”
Could he even do that? I mean JD is the official nominee for VP. It doesn’t seem right that Trump could just change his mind. Not to mention early ballots are starting to go out in 2 weeks. If you vote for Trump/VD that wouldn’t count for Trump/Kennedy. Right?
Exactly. No one voted for Kamala. People didn’t vote for Biden, they voted against Trump. Hilary won the primary because Warren split the progressive vote and wouldn’t drop out.
Dems haven’t put forward a truly clean and charismatic leader since Obama.
Good points. However, I would argue that the DNC would absolutely fuck up picking a new nominee. They would pick some “centrist” unlikeable democrat that would try to appeal to a moderate middle that just doesn’t exist. They would run a flaccid campaign and manage to piss off everybody trying to appeal to everybody. Republicans would absolutely capitalize on the chaos.
That’s the huge take away here. The Chinese can’t comprehend that the DOD doesn’t have a social media control division. Yes we have the NSA and stuff spying, but they don’t control anything.
This article is an ad for a book.
We are in post-competition capitalism. Even if the alternative isn’t owned by the same parent company, they will do the same bullshit.
I completely disagree. It absolutely is AI doing this. The point the article is trying to make is that the data used to train the AI is full of exclusionary hiring practices. AI learns this and carries it forward.
Using your metaphor, it would be like training AI on hundreds of excel spreadsheets that were sorted by race. The AI learns this and starts doing it too.
This touches on one of the huge ethical questions with regulating AI. If you are discriminated against in a job hunt by an AI, who’s fault is that? The AI is just doing what it’s taught. The company is just doing what the AI said. The AI developers are just giving it previous hiring data. If the previous hiring data is racist or sexist or whatever you can’t retroactively correct that. This is exactly why we need to regulate AI not just its deployment.
The best, most patriotic people I served with were two guys from Haiti.
