I think it’s more schadenfreude than victim blaming - that and a dash of Leopards Eating My Face. Those type of comments are usually under such stories as MAGA lawyers lining up to handle his nonsense lawsuits in order to ride his coattails to fame and wealth, only to be abandoned when they fail to get results. Victim blaming would imply they’re actually victims instead of grifters stupidly working under another grifter.

I didn’t mind it too much (the naming Kamela part - Biden staying in the race for so long with a dead campaign was a travesty). As Vice President she was already voted by the American people to be his successor, so making her the nominee was just asking the public if that was still the case. With so little time before the election, avoiding factionalizing the Democratic party was important - people will eventually get over their candidate losing and vote for the winning nominee, but there wasn’t time for a nomination and for those feelings to fade before November.
I only wish she’d kept the energy and progressive drive of the first few days of her candidacy rather than falling victim to the same advisors that ruined Hillary and Biden’s runs. This election should have been an easy win for even the lamest Democratic candidate, but it seems Democrats learned nothing from Obama’s success (well, unless you count “shut down progressives early before they gain momentum”).

I don’t know if I’d agree that Sourceforge’s reputation has recovered. The previous owners’ actions of hijacking open-source projects and injecting adware into their installers absolutely destroyed any trust they had, and even years later few of the projects that left the platform in protest have returned.
Admittedly the lack of new/returning projects is likely because of how much better the competition is from a UX perspective, as you noted. But at least personally, that scandal is still the first thing to come to mind when I hear the name Sourceforge.
Gradle is so insanely over-engineered that it can do almost anything, yet so fragile that it can take weeks of bashing your head against the wall to get your build scripts working if you’re doing anything remotely complicated with your setup (or even just upgrading Gradle versions). Everything is so finicky that even if you do things exactly as the documentation says, you’ll still have to finagle things around nine times out of ten to get it to compile.

Basically the moment he died people began softening his views to make them more palatable to the other side. This helped get civil rights legislations passed, but something of the man himself was lost in the process. Kids today learn he was for equal rights but very little about his actual beliefs.

I’m still using AquaMail, is there some news or scandal I missed? It works well enough for me, but then again I barely use email for anything other than a place for notifications so if they fucked up some other feature I probably wouldn’t have noticed.
I know their attempts at monetization have been batshit insane, but I bought it ages ago for a couple of bucks and luckily missed out on all that. Is there any reason to move to another app if I’m grandfathered into lifetime premium?
