I’ve been to over 50 countries in all seven continents, and I’ve lived in four of those. Never did I feel anything that I would would describe as fear.
I will be travelling to the US for an exchange program next month. I am afraid. To the point I am actually considering cancelling what could be a career changing opportunity.
Pretty sure they were being sarcastic
Not sure where you’re from but since you were talking about Europe: IDs are mandatory throughout most (but not all) of the EU, as well as in most non-EU countries.
In my EU country, you could get a new ID in as little as a couple of days if you are willing to pay the extra fees which are actually not at all that much. You also have to pay if you lose your ID thiugh this sum is also not that much.
They removed the article? Anyone know why?
Oh the irony! Stahp, we can only take so much of it
It feels like all the people here criticizing her for fantastical or illogical reasons (usually a mixture of both) are just envious of her.
AOC is doing the bare minimum?
Care to enlighten everyone what you’ve been doing these last few years? Must be something really special and meaningful.
I’m just making fun of the biased dynamics and what often seems like a black-and-white perspective. By no means do I think that one is “good” and the other is “bad”, but I do think there is a lot of misrepresentation going around because of the latest developments around TikTok. We should also keep in kind that the executive decision was put in place over a year ago but ofcourse nobody discussed it back then because policy only becomes relevant once it factors into personal interpretations and ideology.
That’s not how I remember it. The average persin in Eastern Europe couldn’t afford to buy a car and cars were in short supply, resulting in significant waiting periods (we’re talking years). The average citizens in the USSR and the Warsaw Pact had much less purchaisng power compared to their counterparts in the West. Soviet-made cars were much more expensice relative to Western-made ones, and of considerably lower quality, generally speaking.
You cannuse the Glimpse extension for Google Trends to see absolute values of search popularity.
There is a point you’re trying to make. Make it.
Or maybe its a case like Joe Rogan and Assmongold who say they’re left-wing while extolling far-right narratives and conspiracy theories (and sometimes outright anti-scientific folly like 1×1=2), basically using it as a manipulative talking point to mislead their millions of followers (the vast majority of whom just happen to be white men with proto-fascist views of the world)
Pity for you and your poor soul
