That being said, this is most likely the “fuck Draconic NEO” person from elsewhere in this thread who is impersonating someone else. Almost wonder if it’s Antiyanks again, their behaviour is incredibly similar.

If you don’t want to miss on other points of view, you’re on the wrong instance. Dessalines regularly censors comments and bans users for saying things he disagrees with, usually under the guise of banning them for “racism”. He even blocked the community that collects evidence of this so .ml users like yourself can’t see the extent of how heavily censored the communities are on your instance. I recommend checking out [email protected] on an off-instance account to see why your instance has the reputation it does.

And they’ve been doing so since last year. How little of a life does someone need to have to dedicate this much time into being banned over and over? It accomplishes absolutely nothing, the comments get removed in two easy clicks before most people will even read them. Hell, it takes less effort for the mods to ban Antiyanks than it does for them to make a new account. I’m pretty quick to spot and report Antiyanks accounts, and even still I often see them gone before I even read the thread.

According to what they’ve told me in a fit of rage after reporting and getting them banned on numerous occasions, they’ve “declared war” on Lemmy because they keep getting reported and banned and have some sort of “army” of alt accounts to wage it with. Being told they’re not welcome for their poor behaviour and constant ban evasion is considered “censorship” and that must be the single worst thing to have ever happened to them because what they’re doing is so far beyond what a reasonable person would do in this situation (namely, moving on with their life and finding anything better to spend their time doing).

I bet one of the admins just had it out for you and came up with a bullshit excuse. Midwest reminds me of the Tankie Triad sometimes, quite a few of their users are .ml and Hexbear alts and the nonsensical banning is perfectly on brand. Nowhere near on the same level, of course, but still clearly a problem.

Side note, I hardly ever see anyone posting from that instance anymore. Used to see their users all the time. I wonder why?

New accounts such as yours tend to be overwhelmingly trolls on alt accounts to avoid being banned. It’s natural that a new account is going to be treated with more suspicion than an established member of the community.
