those who are into Pokemon, for the extra frame rate
Not just Pokemon, I am sure there are many who where hoping for Switch Pro before Nintendo crushed their hopes and dreams with Switch OLED. People have been testing Switch 1 games on Switch 2 and most of them seem to run on very stable frame-rate on Switch even without an upgrade pack.
This will lead to stronger console sales but not necessarily to game sales at least not in the short run.
A lot of players and local venues prefer PS4, PS5 and PC for fighting games. If you have licensed PS4/PS5 arcade stick it should work on all three of these platforms. Unlicensed ones might not work with PS5 games. Switch is mostly just for melee.
That being said game key-cards seem largely inferior to physical versions on other platforms even if you likely have to patch most games these days anyways.
Switch 2 had a wider selection, with 13 physical games available at launch.
Many gamers do not count game key-cards as physical games. Just another version of code in a box. Cyberpunk is probably only actual physical 3rd party release on switch.
With politics so polarized and with so much misinformation and dowright conspiracies getting spread around I am honestly surprised how infrequent cases like this are in the US.
Not yet, but availability of steam decks and other pc handhelds is improving rapidly. Valve also just recently allowed other manufacturers like Lenovo to produce their own devices.
PC gaming is currently overshadowing console gaming and these pc handhelds are just extension of that.
Aside from the analog sticks, the console itself seems like a fine upgrade from the original making it a tempting for anyone looking for “Switch Pro”. But it’ll be intersting to see how the price of games and the digital key aspect will affect the game sales down the line.
Steam Deck and other portable pc:s seem to be also getting a lot of momentum so there’s increasing amount of competition for handheld devices which was not really the chase with Switch 1.

It’s easy to expect perfection from your opponents while crying about whataboutism when someone points out their side has done the same.
Honestly it’s probably better this way as Fediverse is likely ill prepared to host all these people. There’s likely still a lot work to be done to make instances more efficient, scaleable, sustainable and easier to moderate.

I personally hate the modern day identity politics and it’s polarising narrative and this goes for both the left and the right or “woke” and “anti-woke” sides. This leads to radicalization of some and alienation of more moderate individuals from both sides of the spectrum. I also think that exclusion, scapegoating and vilification can lead to people and their supporters accepting their newly given role as a villain and start campaigning against what they where initially for.
If you apply strong constant pressure for years even steel will bend and concrete crumble.
I am sure that conveying these white men (and women) as oppressive, entitled villains in these articles or opinion pieces will help calm that anger and win them over. /s
Well I have to agree that he did have controversial takes on those issues.
Albeit many of which probably resonate well with average American voters.
Haven’t paid much attention to Sam Harris for years, last time was probably around 2017 when some grouped him in to the “Intellectual dark web”. Based on this episode it seem that unlike Jordan Petterson, Harris has somewhat managed to avoid getting radicalized by his audience and/or haters. But it could be that he’s just really good acting calm and reasonable.

Bought Baldurs gate: Dark alliance from g.o.g and playing that. A bit expensive for its age and its a direct port but at least no need to emulate it.
