Or the feeling of , that should gave taken way less time, man I suck. Did I do it right? Better redo it (6 hours later…)
applemao@lemmy.worldto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•And then the fire nation attackedEnglish13·3 days agoYeah. I feel like it never bothered me when younger (he’s “gifted and mature”) but you get screwed later on when you have a 8-5 office job where you sit and stare for 9 hours. I can’t focus on boring useless stuff like that. Unfortunately, the alternative is destroy your body doing manual labor to keep moving around. Plus. You make a lot more money sitting and staring at a screen. So just keep it bottled up and pretend you know what you’re doing and don’t feel like going nuts!
applemao@lemmy.worldto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Do they just think about the same fuckin' thing forever?English2·10 days agoAbout the same ! Classical kind of works. But yeah can’t listen to anything new either or I focus on it
applemao@lemmy.worldto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Do they just think about the same fuckin' thing forever?English2·10 days agoWow, this also helps me with thinking! Just hearing people talk helps me think. Music is focus too much on it and can’t work.
applemao@lemmy.worldto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Do they just think about the same fuckin' thing forever?English7·10 days agoI can play back music in my head when I’m bored or watch an entire movie. Sometimes even just with my eyes open. And I don’t think I have those disorders but who knows
applemao@lemmy.worldto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Do they just think about the same fuckin' thing forever?English2·10 days agoI guess some people also can’t imagine things which seems so odd to me.
applemao@lemmy.worldto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Do they just think about the same fuckin' thing forever?English64·10 days agoI’m pretty sure this is how all humans think…things relate to one another.

applemao@lemmy.worldto Political Discussion and Commentary@lemmy.world•Get rid of the guyEnglish2·12 days agoThe sad part is how many otherwise nice people it’s turned into total hateful monsters, and there’s no way they’ll be brought back. We will be a full on dictatorship soon and they don’t care as long as the gays and Trans are gone.
Mini hijack but what software would yall recommend for vhs backups, preferably linux native? I figure need to do this before they start degrading. I have a capture card already, just was wondering the best software. I tried potplayer but didnt love it…id really need software with an auto shutoff so I can play a tape when I go to work or bed and not have 6 hours of blank recorded…
applemao@lemmy.worldto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•I made 100 GIFs of the Blacklist in 4 days last weekEnglish3·16 days agoI do this with almost everything. Work hours building a spare pc with linux and make it do some cool stuff, never touch it again. Build a music studio and hardly ever record music because now I feel like there’s no point xD
True. But it seems like it’s way too late to start learning any programming now. Plus it’s saturated. I’ll learn it on the side for fun but it’ll probably never be a viable job for me
Yeahh exactly. AI has pretty much ruined computer based fun now. Which in some ways is good, we should all learn physical hobbies again and not be reliant on tech. I still enjoy my hobby desktop computers though, I just enjoy learning how it really works under the surface.
I still want to get into coding the OG manual way (because I enjoy pain and disappointment apparently) but now it seems like a waste of time since vibe coders and 13 year olds already are lightyears ahead of me. Also I have no reason to learn it, all apps are already built xD
applemao@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•What helps people get comfortable on the command line?1·19 days agoThats a good idea, i have not made any aliases yet. Also remembering all of those aliases is another challenge ha. I keep a text file named commands on my desktop with a whole bunch of commands I forget.
applemao@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•What helps people get comfortable on the command line?8·20 days agoI think just doing it more, and thinking it’s cool to interact more directly. At least that helps me. I do feel bad for dyslexic peiple though, it’s a lot harder for them to use CLI.
I know someone who always has to say More like rage FOR the machine amiright? They went WOKE!! I just facepalm hard.
I am pretty sure this is anyone, not really ADHD specific. More like a “makes me feel good to buy something” specific. Which is many many people.
I hate the term. It waters down true programmers and hard work. 9 year old rips off someone and makes game, “app”. Actual software dev makes useful program using hard work and their own assets, “app”.
