It’s funny when looked sideways, but when looked from the front it’s two distortion filters away from analog horror.

brokenlcd@feddit.itto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•WTF is this ad in my recording appEnglish11·24 days agoBtw if you are familiar with, or already use f droid. adaway is a pretty nice way to stop ads system-wide. It will occupy the vpn connection, since it’s how it forces ads to not load. But it’s pretty nice.
(Also, be careful with the vpn being set as always on. I had phones that set it like that automatically, anf after uninstalling the app. The phone still expected to connect through a dead vpn, preventing internet access altogether. Fun :p)

If it is for barcode type fidelty cards catima fits the bill, it’s on both google play and f-droid, though i’d suggest to get it from f droid. github repo
brokenlcd@feddit.itto Science Memes@mander.xyz•You cannot learn without failing.English89·2 months agoNo work is wasted if it gives a clearer picture of something. Even if you get disproven, it just means that you found one of the dark parts of the picture. Now sure, people mostly remember the ones that discover the brighter parts of the image. But the whole picture is still made of both the dark and bright parts. We don’t just need to know what works, we also need to know for sure what DOESN’T work. Or else we’ll never know the real bounds of something.
Now if you don’t mind, i’ll go back to slamming my head against analysis.

Knowing that there is still a bash script i wrote around 5 years ago still running the entirety of my high scool lab makes me sorry for the poor bastard that will need to fix those hieroglyphs as soon as some package breaks the script. I hate that i used bash, but it was the easiest option at the time on that desolate server.
In my country the joke would be most likely “moses has passed here” but i think the speed one works better. Considering the usual stereotype of turtles being slow. ( which i don’t get since i’ve seen water turtles be absolute menaces on land. Not the fastest. But WAY faster than one would expect)
Whenever i ser apps built with ai assitance i just think:“wait until an exploit pops up and no one knows how to fix it. Since it was hallucinated by ai from 2009 code”

Tbf there still are a lot of ways to make a program run at startup on linux, systemd/rc, cronjob. Even putting in bashrc for certain cases. The problem is finding where that little bugger is starting from.
my handwriting it’s exactly like that. Doesn’t help that i am left handed and smudge the shit out of the paper. But what i meant was the “oogabooga” caveman level of comments i add to code. You’ll be lucky to find a cohesive sentence in them. Ex: “check for x if exists, assume setup is done”
Tbf, i always comment my code to do a sanity check of what i am doing along the way( think rubber duck method with comments). The problem is that my writing is so cryptic i am the only one that could ever understand it.
Hey, this logic brought me trough the entirety of high school. I don’t have adhd though, so i’m not sure how badly it changes stuff, sorry.
