Yeah, I imagine the amount of books by language depends on the library. Mine has 2k German and some Dutch and Ukrainian as well - didn’t vet those. I was able to download an .acsm file via Manage Loan -> Read with… -> Epub, but then you still need to deal with an acsm file - definitely not a real solution, just figured I’d mention it

I’d go with druid. It gives you a reason for high wisdom and the aspect of merging with animal minds. High Charisma for persuasion and intimidation, probably a background supporting intimidation.

The thing you said that someone disagreed with was calling it ionizing radiation, which is a more general term and describes radiation with enough energy to ionize an atom or molecule, which means stripping off at least one of its electrons. That requires a lot less energy than activating nuclei in an element that is not radioactive to radioactivity. UV light and X-rays are both ionising radiation, but are not from radioactivity and cannot induce radioactivity. Of course a lot of radioactive radiation (α, β, γ) is also too low-energy to activate more nuclei. It depends on the energy of the radiation and the specific element you’re trying to activate (how close it is to being radioactive, so to speak).

So like CommissarVulpin said - the real danger is more likely to be contamination

I second Duolingo and Drops for mostly vocabulary learning, and then I’d supplement with a textbook for grammar and a more structured learning experience. I keep seeing the everything learning german book recommended, but really, just choose whatever looks reasonable and go through it doing all the exercises

I’d read this with commas around ‘like’, rather than with a period after it: “… how birds look, like, I’m afraid” works as a sentence while “… how birds look like. I’m afraid” is both wrong, like you point out, but also sounds much more serious than the jokey tone I’d expect from a message without punctuation and capitalization

Since the problem of the joycons breaking down has come up a few times, I just want to mention that you can easily couple 8bit-do controllers, or presumably any others, and play with those instead. That’s likely to mean they’ll be available for a while. Not sure that you can do anything about a DS’s buttons breaking
