It’s just the worst when you’re not sure which situation you’re looking at, and you’re not sure if you should be worried yet. Namely because you can’t quite remember if the last time you saw said object was really the last time you saw it, after suddenly remembering that you hadn’t seen it in a while.

I’m guessing this will make sales taxes go up too. We are now paying taxes on the taxes.

Congress has undisputed constitutional control of tariffs. A previous Congress enacted a law to delegate some of that authority to the President.
So now… how can the President (or anyone) just say, “fuck you, you can’t have your constitutional power back?” Why can’t Congress just fall back to their constitutional authority and render their predecessors’ delegation invalid?

Okay student, now turn the accelerator and feather the accelerator as you accelerate into the curve, then press the accelerator to accelerate your acceleration out the curve.

Lol, I was very clear that all of the loss was on the democratic side. Your theory doesn’t hold up.

Such wonderful arguments you present. I’m glad you believe you add so much to this discussion you need to brigade your own fake votes.
credo@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•EPA head says he'll roll back dozens of environmental regulations, including rules on climate change1·3 months agoLol, I say one thing and you answer another. Just like you did with the original post. THE TOPIC OF DISCUSSION IS THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, NOT FEDERAL ELECTIONS AS A WHOLE.
If I say it slower, will that help you understand? Quit changing the fucking topic to try and make your point. And as I pointed out, please let me know when you find evidence 8.2M people tried to vote but couldn’t.
credo@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•EPA head says he'll roll back dozens of environmental regulations, including rules on climate change4·3 months ago1st, gerrymandering has nothing to do with the presidential election. It was obvious from your post you know very little about US elections.
Next, there were 8.2 million fewer votes in 2024 than 2020. All of that loss was on the democratic side. Do you have evidence literally millions of voters were disenfranchised?
Had those missing voters participated in good faith in 2024, Trump would not be president today.
He (and/or his family) is/are playing the roller coaster somehow. This was all entirely predictable. He has both the power to tip the scales and the ethical void to scoop money out of whichever side is higher that day.
