If you don’t have an alternative, then say so. Stop beating around the bush pretending to hoard some plan you do not possess. It wasn’t a difficult fucking question you nutjob.
elouboub@kbin.socialto World News@lemmy.ml•A police dog attacked a Black trucker on his knees. An Ohio city is dealing with the aftermath64·2 years agoYou haven’t answered the question. Who should enforce the law? I’m not sure if you have a problem with the concept of police or with the implementation thereof.

It really was just supposed to be jlai.lu :D No idea who owns the domain but it just redirects you to discord for /r/rance . Must be some jokester.
elouboub@kbin.socialto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Any Arabs (or others) here who want to cooperate creating an Arabic Lemmy, given the recent Palestine events?1·2 years agoAlso, where did you find the invite to that Discord? It doesn’t seem to be related to the instance
Did you respond to the right person?
elouboub@kbin.socialto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Any Arabs (or others) here who want to cooperate creating an Arabic Lemmy, given the recent Palestine events?2·2 years agoThen I think you’re misinterpreting OP’s post. They don’t want to create a “pro Palestinian server”, they want an Arabic server. They mention Palestine because of the timeframe: more active Arabic speakers –> possibly more active Arabic lemmy users. Hence my question about Ukraine.
elouboub@kbin.socialto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Any Arabs (or others) here who want to cooperate creating an Arabic Lemmy, given the recent Palestine events?2·2 years agoWould you be against a Ukrainian lemmy server too?

elouboub@kbin.socialto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Any Arabs (or others) here who want to cooperate creating an Arabic Lemmy, given the recent Palestine events?11·2 years agoJust create the server dude. There are a bunch of instances related to specific languages, games, TV shows, countries, regions, what have you. It’ll show up at https://join-lemmy.org/instances and Arabic speakers should be able to find it. You can then promote it on other social media. You can also suggest it on other social media if you don’t believe you can be an admin :)
Good luck!

and you should be set. Depends of course on whether you want them to be able to run programs and stuff…

elouboub@kbin.socialto Gaming@beehaw.org•Valve Says Counter-Strike 2 for macOS Not Happening Because There Aren't Enough Players on Mac to Justify It20·2 years agoI mean… if Apple makes it a shit platform to support, this isn’t a surprise. Valve can control the entire environment on Linux. If something goes wrong, they can look at the code of the kernel. On Mac, they have to ask Apple for support. For <1% of the player-base, that’s way too much of a hassle.
elouboub@kbin.socialto World News@lemmy.ml•UBI Cash Payments Reduced Homelessness, Increased Employment in Denver1·2 years agoIf a country with a population of around a million (or even as small as 100k) enacted UBI I would take those results to be representative of a societal change.
I honestly doubt you would. The typical arguments of:
- it’s not comparable to a country of 350M, they’re barely as big as $cityWithOver1Million
- their society is very different from ours
- their implementation is different from what we could ever manage
- the circumstances were different
would come around.
You’re making exemplary conservative arguments to stalemate progress by creating a chicken and egg problem.
- Won’t accept results of change in a small environment because they aren’t representative of change in large environment
- Demand results of change in a large environment before applying them to large environment
- Won’t apply changes to large environment because results of change in large environment don’t exist
Would be hilarious if the picture there were also AI generated (it sure does look like it to me).
