How long does it keep once you make it?

I grew up eating garden tomatoes. Went to college, for the first time bought a grocery store tomato. Cut into it, tasted it… turned to my friend, what the fuck is this shit?

Real butter for things where you can taste it. Store brand for things where the other flavors are more overpowering and don’t really notice the butter.

I got a tortilla press and masa harina. I will not buy premade corn torillas again. Masa isn’t that expensive, add salt, water, mix, press, and cook on a dry pan (or super lightly oiled, i put a very light layer on mine since it’s cast iron)

So much tastier than store bought and better texture.

People will park/pull up almost to your bumper and give you very little wiggle room.

He might ignore it and keep yelling out numbers. But doesn’t this mean the people actually collecting the tariffs have to stop? And especially entities in blue states would use it as an excuse to stop collecting.

The portable one is my rec too. I have a rechargeable one. I refill it with warm or cool water depending on my preference and then bippity boppity.

I like it because it’s also easier to aim and control.

If I was going to get one to hook to the toilet, I’d get the type that’s like a kitchen sprayer attached to hose.

Sane/Insane - the work they are doing is crazy, illegal, immoral, unethical - we need more Jasmine Crockett type people loudly calling this out.

We need people with her visibility and charisma out-shouting Margie with actual truths instead of made up bullshit.

At this point the truths are more wacky than the hacky shit being made up about space lasers and weather control.

I have a 70+ year old friend that paper files. She doesn’t trust the free file places available here (USA). I don’t blame her.

I print things for her on my 1999 laser jet if she needs something printed.

Many years I paper filed just to inconvenience them slightly for not offering free file.

Is there a community for those of us with late 90s early 2000 HP laserjets? Somewhere we can discuss maintenance, feeding, and overall care?

While I agree public transport would be better in most places. And wholeheartedly believe Elon is not the solution and is instead actively harming untold millions directly and indirectly…

I can’t help but be reminded of a conversation I had with my Dad years ago. He thought Tesla’s time frame of having charging stations across the US within 5 years to support cross country driving was impossible. And that Tesla would go under and the other car makers would ignore EV. I believed it would happen, that pure EVs would become normal, all of the car companies woyld make them, and be easier to charge. We agreed to disagree.

Now, there are EV F150 pickup trucks and a ton more charging stations. I thought there would be more hybrids first because oil is profitable. And the Prius was gaining a little foothold.

My point is that there has been a huge shift away from depending totally on gas based cars in a relatively short period of time. And small groups of people can make a positive difference. In this case Elon was the face of this change at it’s height.

My city has electric buses now, in the South. People finally started believing EVs could be viable.

However… helping EVs by encouraging the EV idea isn’t going to be what Elon will be remembered for - it’ll all the hubris,> damage, and needless death.

Unless we lose our country and history is rewritten.

I really wish he’d just stuck to talking up Tesla instead of becoming a badly written Bond Villain.

If they know something we don’t then whatever that is needs sunlight poured on it. Keeping it in the dark only undermines the fight for the Constitution and does more harm.

Either tell the truth and fight in the light. Or suck it up and fight for what’s right - even if the person you are fighting for isn’t perfect.

As a business person, my first order of business is always to piss off the red teams and then cut them loose. Not these people would do anything illegal or untoward… that we’d know about.

In college, early 90s, our student IDs had our photo and SSN on it

I’ve operated ever since under rhe assumption anyone and everyone has access to it.

Then with all the data breaches over the last 10/15 years? Freeze credit reports with the 3 reporting agencies for free. Check for extra accounts with the free annual credit report pulls.

For all practical purposes, our SSNs are easily obtained by someone who wants it.

I’m not sure what the solution is, but a unique identifier has to be housed somewhere where in can be accessed in a format humans can read, which means it can be accessed and dumped so it’s no longer private or secret.

I’m not a fan of biometrics, and I tolerate 2FA. I really think it’s more important we change how we think about and use personal, unique, identifiers (like SSNs)
