I don’t really play anymore but occasionally I get the desire to play some Gran Turismo. The last three or four times I’ve had that urge, both the console and the game required rather large updates. Half an hour later, still not done updating… desire to play gone with the wind. Rinse and repeat 3 months later.

The US embassy in Norway sent a letter to their electricity and heat provider (Hafslund), demanding that they stop any DEI type activities within the company.

Hafslunds’ response was, in short, “we can stop providing power and heat, no problem”.

Seems all the doers over there are busy sending the country, and indeed the world, down the crapper.

It may well be just the picture painted by the publications I tend to read, but it’s easy to get the impression that the democrats have fallen more or less silent (Bernie excluded), while the republicans are spewing shit from mountain tops all day long. Is that how you American folks feel, too, or is it just my news sources that are failing me?

A king in a modern monarchy is nothing more than a representative of the country. He cuts ribbons and holds encouraging speeches on New Year’s. That’s pretty much it.

I did that a bit, for C64 games. I recall it being a mix of fun, tedious and extremely frustrating if there was even the slightest transmission interference while recording, then all you could do was wait for the next transmission and hope they went better.

What’s the feeling over there… if Trump tomorrow announced a military invasion to free Canada from fascists or whatever, would the military comply and start gunning down Canadians? I know there are a few more steps to it before such action can be taken (or at least I hope there are), so I suppose what I’m wondering is if there are enough Americans who think Canada is evil to happily rise to the challenge?
