Depends. If it’s a book I’m not interested in or that I need to read for some reason: hell no. Just repeating the same few sentences over and over until I give up. If it’s something I want to read though, and I’m hooked by the plot and curious what happens next, it’s another timehole where 5 minutes of reading suddenly last at least an hour.

Those cookies don’t hunt themselves
Same in German (Seeigel). Though I wondered what an “urchin” is since I learned the word. So still a TIL.
At first I thought you should look into the formatting again, but the lack of line breaks kinda adds to the experience.
Better buy all the books and then not start reading even the first one ever.

Stellate scale is also a known pest of Schefflera plants. Wash foliage with warm soapy water, try not to get any in the pot. You may have to treat multiple times. Imdacloprid (Bonide Systemic) should also be effective as it’s considered a soft bodied scale.

The possibility of being rejected makes it really hard. But then again it feels so good to just be yourself and witnessing others love you for that instead of in spite of it. Journaling helped me a lot with appreciating those small victories and therefore sticking to it, and also finding out who I am in the first place. Over the years myself and my masks sort of blended into each other and I had a hard time being a real person.

Unfortunately it might be sick, it has been getting worse ever since I brought it homeEnglish3·8 months agoEven though there might be other possibilities, checking the roots is a good move. If the roots are okay, that’s great news and you’re on the safe side. If you discover rot, you can just cut off the bad parts and the repot the plant. That causes severe stress, so it might take a while to recover, but it’s the only way to help with root rot, as otherwise it will only spread, killing the plant in the long term.

They’re all fine. There was at least some sunlight coming in from the surrounding rooms though.
It’s all just one room, they moved the desk to the window to make place for a bed.
Also, the pain is not real, they’re just feeling like it was.
