And actually a big part of the issue is the Supreme Court intentionally misinterpreting the letter and spirit of the constitution. The first, second and fourth amendments were fine the way they were, the Supreme Court just chipped away at them until they meant nothing any more.

They think they can get away with anything and it doesn’t sound like there’s any moderating voices in either the IDF or government.

I think Israel has shown that they’ll do worse than just arrest them. I’m just saying, the activists signed up to this with a clear knowledge of what could happen, those refugees didn’t. So the moral thing to do is to drop them off somewhere, but that derails their whole plan as they could be detained in that port.

It can work if targeted and coupled with industrial policy. Eg. The CHIPS act coupled with a tariff on Chinese chips, stuff like that. Everyone agrees that Trump’s way of doing it was counterproductive.
