Doing nothing is worse than taking rights.
No, the latter is absolutely still worse.

Dementia doesn’t follow a linear decline. He could have good days and worse days
I’m in some circles that would never support her because she sat down with Hasan Piker. I would absolutely support her, but she’s pretty polarizing. Same was said of Bernie despite him having one of the most successful grassroots attempts in history. Blows my mind that because they’re populists they’re immediately discounted by some, even though the positions they support are the ones we desperately need.
Forgive my rant, but just because Trump is a populist with us vs them rhetoric does not make them equal by any fucking stretch of the imagination, and it drives me insane that the friends I’m thinking of are so blinded by the label.
I worked at a public disposal area for a little while and can attest that at least my flyover state/zipcode does separate and sanitize plastic. Cardboard was the only thing that couldn’t have touched oil (including pizza). We only accepted plastics #1 and #2, though, and part of my job included climbing into the dumpster and sorting through. I’d miss it if workers rights weren’t simultaneously such shit* here
*autocorrect trying to sanitize my language too
Theoretically, one could be speaking in Italy, but that’s only if Italy exists
… I’ll see myself out
Keeping in mind it’s a majority of the voting population. Millions sat out that didn’t in 2020. Millions more don’t show up consistently because they’ve been systematically conditioned into apathy or forced to jump through hoops they can’t prepare for like voter id laws or polling stations being shut down. Same issue - they lack the media literacy or just reading comprehension in general at times.
Check out restorative justice models. One in Colorado has boasted 95% victim satisfaction and recidivism crashed from 50 down to like 10%. We can use this data to demonstrate what justice models are better, regardless of a definitive definition.
Do you have research that demonstrates this conclusively? I’ve taken courses in psychology of aging, lifespan development, brain & behavior, etc. None of them discussed such a claim for everyone, but it’s possible I didn’t pay well enough attention.
I asked ChatGPT as well, and it’s disagreeing with you, for the record. There are changes and differences, but the brain is a muscle like any other that requires training. Learning new skills, solving puzzles, etc. is correlated to the maintenance and/or improvement of the organ over the lifespan.
Cognitive decline is not inherent to old age. It is something to look out for.
Just because it’s what you want doesn’t mean you speak for everyone. That’s the point of democracy.
Age isn’t inherently a bad thing in politics. We’re a representative democracy, and older adults deserve representation reflected as equally as any other eligible voter demographic imo (which could include felons and other disenfranchised populations where possible, but that’s a whole other convo).
It’s disproportionately skewed due to lack of term limits, it’s often safer for parties to run an incumbent, and there’s benefits to having someone with the experience stay in, so idk. I don’t have a ton of solutions by any means, just want to push back on the ageism and add some nuance here. Bernie’s still out there doing a his job representing the demographic well
Yep. We approved it because it’s that or continue with a total ban with no exceptions for rape or incest, to be clear. We had some of the strictest laws in the country on abortion, juxtaposed by some of the most lax on gun control.
Oh and we also just banned ranked choice voting, so. This state is weird.
Just go vote.
I’m subbed to my local NPR’s daily top news stories. Highly recommend folks in the US look to see if their local station has a similar program or find the closest one.
The carton stuff literally tasted like sweat the one time I tried
Oh shit, idk why that hadn’t clicked for me before. I’m really sorry. Of course that makes sense
Such as increased rates of infertility iirc
I mean that’s exactly what trans means, so they’re just being redundant and perpetuating this weird fear mongering. Honestly some of them are just stupid, others seem to know a lot of constituents are stupid and appeal to it while knowingly preventing funding for education so future voters AREN’T stupid
Please be mindful of the misinformation here. NPD is nuanced and difficult to treat, as with any personality disorder, but it is absolutely possible.
Woman here in my mid 30s. I went through a few rough relationships, and in the last longterm one shifted my mindset from “of course I’ll have kids” to “I won’t put my body through that”
Since leaving that relationship, being in and out of therapy, and meeting someone that made me feel love in a way I didn’t think was possible, I’ve changed my mind back. I’d be fine with it if it never happened, but there’s something incredibly romantic about it to me. Being in such a vulnerable state where I’d need help but be supported. Putting my body through that, then having a common goal in raising them as a team.
