Yeah, sadly it does not work. Even their support team suggested I try to use the Android version of it in Linux though an emulator, but that also did not work.

I don’t think framework comes out to be much cheaper if any cheaper than a MacBook Air.

My current cpu is too weak for my work to function in a vm on my current laptop.

Yo did consider this but my current laptop doesn’t run windows in a vm well enough. I think the cpu is too weak.

Sadly it’s video conferencing that is preventing me from doing that. The video conferencing app is the one that only works on windows and mac.

I could run it in a windows virtual machine, but I literally use that app 40+ hours a week.

I’d basically turn on the computer to launch a virtual machine. I’d be better off just keeping my Linux laptop for personal use and Mac for work.

My problem is not with the Mac operating system, it’s mostly the pricing of their hardware. I’m not going into debt over it or anything, but knowing that I’m overpaying just stings a bit.

Yeah! My wife has an m1 air which I borrowed to use for work on our last trip. I was blown away by how low the cpu usage percent was and even the ram usage was about 2-3gb lower than my windows system.

I’m freelance, so technically my company will pay for it 😅

You will not be able to access Jellyfin with Apple relay turned on unless you open ports on your router to access Jellyfin from outside of your house. That’s true even if your in you own home WiFi.

When they were talking about a vpn, they meant that you would be connected to your own vpn server in your home and that Jellyfin is connected to the same vpn.

I’m not sure if you have a right to a lawyer in an interview. I think you would have to wait to be arrested but then you could go into holding for who knows how long.

I’m heavily leaning towards the pro, I’m going to buy it when i visit the states later this year unless tariffs raise the prices. Then I’ll get it locally.
