Not only an insult, its also used in lots of unserious ways. Quite versatile.
Get into an argument and the other party turns out right? You can have “nah” pulled at you (jokingly).
You can also have it done at you at times you dont expect, and it being unexpeced makes it funny.
P.S !lemmaroo@lemmy.world exists
Hold my Kevin (gives him a smooch), I’m going in!
Whata DOA?
The second spice girl looks like her pants were drawn using brush tool or something.
People making lesser than $200K (even foreigners) don’t pay tuition at Harvard. Just checked and all other Ivy League schools similarly offer need-based aid except two.

Blood gets censored to be white in China which makes for some interesting scenes of hands dripping with white stuff. Or this:

Poplar?@lemmy.worldto Map Enthusiasts@sopuli.xyz•Pornhub Valentine's Day searches by US state2·6 months agoOn your second paragraph, notice its “relative searches” which it then explains in the subheading. Not top searches.
If debauchery like “hand-holding” got 0.5% of searches in one state while in other states it got 0.1% of searches, and there wasnt as much a difference for other terms, thats the top relative search.
But it doesnt tell us anything about how many people actually searched for it.

Couldnt you just copy the list of instances lemmy.world or a similarly large instance federates with (its in the footer), or grab a the list of Lemmy instances from e.g fedidb.org to block?
I feel that would block most of the network, and doubt there would be much value left in joining whatever unconnected instances left.
Poplar?@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.ml•Report: German Xmas market attacker is Saudi anti-Islamist who shared pro-Israel contentEnglish6·8 months agoHe was wrong, but Im not sure he had contradictory beliefs.
The only thing that stands out IMO is him being for AfD - but that makes sense if you note that anti-immigration sentiment among ex-muslims when it shows up is actually specifically against muslim immigration, not immigration in general (Im exmuslim and spent a bunch of time in online exmuslim spaces).
He ran a forum to help atheist Saudis seek asylum, and his last tweets were among other things anger at the German failure to help Saudi asylum seekers. Clearly not anti-immigration.
I’m curious what you work as? Sysadmin?
That would be terrible because they are both some of the best academic publishers in the humanities.
The alt text has an explanation. Couldnt figure out how to copy it to this comment.
