From what I read today this includes the IRS’s project to let Americans file their taxes for free. I forget the most recent status of it except I think it was already in effect as a pilot project available in certain states and was planned for national accessibility. And obviously there’s been big money pressure to kill that effort.
Constituent pressure? How frustrating!
I suspect the answer to that might be the same as to the classic question, “Can the markets stay completely insane and irrational longer than I can remain solvent?”

1·7 months agojetAudio has been doing a great job of playing all my music off my local/home SAMBA server over WiFi for a couple of years. It’s a little un-polished but I’ve never found anything else that made it as easy to connect and just play tracks, folders, albums, or playlists without too much bloat.

Remember when this same moment came in 2016 and everybody was pretty sure there would be a real public reckoning and introspection in and around the DNC… like maybe even public soul searching and apologies. And then the successor chosen for outgoing chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schulz turned out to be Tom Perez. More or less slamming the door on learning anything, and doubling down on punching down and punching left.

I don’t know what your definition of “working” is here, but he’s been conning, grifting, and cheating in real estate all his life for sure.
Surely the GOP could come up with a younger, more vigorous candidate who could lie at least sixty times per hour. That’s gotta be like some kind of basic minimum.
Fluoridated water and occasional low-dose supplement tablets are the clear reason why I didn’t have a single major cavity until I was nearly 50, in spite of a lifetime of very haphazard, on-again off-again brushing habits. (yes, I’ve since standardized my brushing!). My parents and other relatives aren’t especially genetically resistant to tooth decay or anything, so I’m pretty sure it was the fluoride that gave me such a cavity-free first five decades. That certainly saved me money, but it saved the public health system even more. Meanwhile I still did my part to keep dentists in business with yearly cleaning and checkups.
