I’ve been using DockSTARTer for years and it does what I need, when I need it.
If the goal is to learn, then go for learning Docker directly.
If the goal is to do it well and quickly, don’t reinvent the wheel.

I didn’t realize Resurgence was a thing until now, so that’s awesome!
Can the ISP offer dedicated IPv4 addresses? We had a similar issue with the new rural fiber provider. I spent hours tinkering and researching only to finally call support.
15 minutes and $2/mo later it’s all taken care of. I have a direct IP and no maintenance nightmare that I have to sacrifice a goat to the printer gods and pray for mercy to make work*

It’s just a matter of finding a way to install a battery. I’ve thought about trying to electrify an old F150 for shiggles. Throwing 6" of battery/body lift under the bed seems like a not-totally stupid idea.
r_thndr@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Cars - For Car Enthusiasts@lemmy.world•Truck bloat is killing us, new crash data revealsEnglish1·2 years agoIf you had the time and skill, you could buy a new drivetrain and swap it in. I’d wager a modern engine and transmission would be easier to swap into older engine bays since they’re so roomy.
I rebuilt an 86 Bronco. I could literally sit in the engine bay to do work on the motor.

Maybe there’s a reason this is a standard feature on most new vehicles.
“the auto industry is embracing bigger, more brutish designs for its SUVs and trucks, … and car buyers are increasingly buying into that marketing, snapping up these high-riding vehicles in record numbers.” It’s almost like there are no other options on the market as manufacturers chase fuel economy requirements.
You give me an update of a 90’s-00’s midsize truck like the Tacoma or Dakota and I’ll write a check so fast the paper rips.

Seatbelt trick? Please explain.
For DISCO “Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad” was fun, if not funny. It’s also the only episode I willingly rewatch as it’s kind of a bottle.
Am manager, hate should.
Should presumes an ideal set of conditions with perfect context.
Could is a much better term as it implicitly accepts real world conditions and a lack of total context by couching the affirmation as contingent upon only the discussion (and prior references) at hand.
