There really should be something in the 500GB-1TB range for like $5-6 or at least just allow people to buy multiples of the lower tiers

Some people have clear cases and the camera part generally shows in all cases. That said I’ve had iPhones since the first model and never had a case. (I did break one but that was because I tripped and while I didn’t drop the phone I did use my hand to break the fall and just hit the phone on the edge on the concrete)

Is it plastic?
It’s got a metal build like Apple’s Studio Display
And while I don’t think it’s a steal I can’t imagine paying $1,600 for a monitor without height adjustment so I consider it cheaper than Apple’s. It’ll probably go on sale though and be even cheaper knowing Samsung.
I definitely hope they do an “Ultra Dual” or “Max Quad” style chip to give the MacPro a bit more of a reason to exist.
Yeah and not even the 17" PowerBook G4 had one. This machine did not exist.
I mean for RAM I’d just look at what you are currently using when working by pulling up Activity Monitor and seeing if you have a ton of swap going on. And then figure out how long you plan on using the system and add some buffer assuming RAM needs will increase over time.
Yeah love my Dell monitors, I’ve had 3 UltraSharps and currently have a UP3017 and it’s great.
I really want something that is ~200PPI and has an IPS Black panel as my next monitor and it needs to have a built in KVM and adjustable stand. (120hz would be nice too, but idk how possible that is at such a resolution). So I’ll just keep using this monitor until something finally comes along, it’s crazy how long it’s taken for “retina” monitors to become widespread.
I still pre-heat a toaster oven for at least 5 minutes. It gets up to temp pretty fast but still takes ~5mins maybe upwards of 10 depending on the model.
Do you not preheat your oven before putting it in? Like who puts a pizza into a cold oven?
Shame no KVM built in for those of us with work and home computers. That seems often overlooked on many displays.
That aside seems like a solid alternative on paper.
I mean it’s not worse than they were, but if you are buying a laptop just to play games it’s not really the platform for you.
I buy Macs to do work on, I think a lot of people continue to use them to do work on past college. Plenty of people also have consoles, so having a computer that can do both well isn’t even a priority for all gamers none the less the ton of people who don’t play AAA games.
Will they ever bring back target display mode? I can’t imagine having a 32" screen that can’t be used with anything but the built in computer. I feel like a ton of people have work computers like me who would want to use this as an external display.
I can click on you and see the same stats for you… though the numbers seems too low when I eyeball it compared to your comments, but I’m thinking maybe it’s just total points for a single lemmy server?
Maybe I’m misunderstanding karma, but Memmy appears to show the total upvotes I’ve gotten for comments and posts, isn’t that basically karma?
I’m wondering the same thing with 83% on my 12 mini, I’ve contemplated trying to get a 13 mini but I’m not sure if that’s really worth the extra cost. (I wish there was like a 15 mini coming out as I would just hold out, but that seems like a lost cause)
It only needs like a 3min charge to get through a work day, so it’s not completely terrible if you do forget at least.
