I think they have accidently mislabelled “Average Israeli” with"Israeli Extremists" given settlers are actively supported by the Israeli government, protected by the IDF and any resistance by Palestinians is met with detention without trial.

It takes an absolute economic shitshow for people to stop wanting “change” and wanting simple good governance.

Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don’t fall out of the sky. They don’t pass through a membrane from another reality. The New York Times downplayed his racist, sexist and violent rhetoric and doing “both sides” shit for the last 8 years (the best word I have heard to describe this is “sanewashing”)… and now they are coming out with this?

The political press corps understands that Trump coverage generates great ad revenue, so they are willing to compromise their principles on this matter.

Any review of his post history would show that above all, Linkerbaan was pro-Palestinian.

Many users on lemmy.world seem to think any criticism of the Biden Administration’s support of Israel’s Genocide in Gaza and deliberate war crimes (which Israel often brags about) is somehow supporting Trump.

One of the reasons I left reddit was the circlejerking that went on there but Lemmy.world is giving reddit a run for it’s money.

I agree but they are not as influential as AIPAC regarding supporting the mass punishment and murder of civilians in the middle east.

Weapons manufacturers will be busy for years resupplying stocks that were provided to Ukraine.

They have spent $100 million dollars this cycle.

Any politician that stands up to AIPAC gets millions (if not tens of millions) raised for their political opponents.

The vast majority of politicians are far too frightened to anger this lobby in an election year.

It’s called AIPAC.

Their lobbying power is perfectly legal and immense.

It is clear that Israel is trying to start a war with Iran and Hezbollah and drag the United States into it.

In Europe, literal fascists are elected to parliament.
