Every single election, the League of Women Voters puts out responses to their surveys about candidates’ relevant viewpoints and platform. Every single election I have to remind people it even exists. It’s the easiest way to filter out candidates. Do their viewpoints align with mine? Did they even bother to respond to the survey?

Takes like 5-10 minutes easily. There’s simply no excuse.

Is he? He was pretty hyped about how well Ukraine did in the early days of the conflict, actively tweeting about all the insane stuff that was going on. I think he was criticized for maybe speaking a little too openly about stuff that wasn’t exactly public knowledge, but he didn’t seem like a Russian asset from that perspective.

I would have just pegged him as another war hawk that probably uses an alt account on NCD. Maybe I missed something.

This makes me wonder if people keep saying they were more prosperous under Trump because he “signed” the goddamn stimulus checks with his huge sharpie signature. It’s something I thought surely people wouldn’t be that stupid to fall for, but maybe I was wrong.

Senator Kelly’s replacement would be required by Arizona law to be a Democrat appointed by the Governor (also currently a Democrat). The special election to replace the replacement wouldn’t be until 2026. If he’s the right one for the job, it might be worth potentially taking a hit 2 years into a Harris administration.

I’m sure the chance at getting some with high lead content makes it taste even better.

This just reminded me of getting super cheap/nearly free ad-supported Kindle fires from Amazon, obtaining root access and installing a different ROM. They weren’t half bad spare Android tablets once you removed the adware.

Not sure how you’re trying to run it in a container, but the answer would depend on a bunch of different factors. Nvidia has a utility you can install that assists in exposing the GPU to the container, documentation found here.

If you’re using docker compose to run it as a service, there’s a doc page for that too. Note that it uses the previous page I mentioned as prerequisite.

There’s another way to get it working from within kubernetes that comes up every now and then on stackoverflow.

If it’s Intel or AMD, no idea if this still applies.

Someone pointed out the difference in active user counts, too. 2012 Reddit had ~43 million active users. Lemmy has an active user count somewhere around 60-90 thousand.

Point is, if you’re a dev looking to recoup some target cost, you’d be looking at a way smaller and riskier user base than the one that Sync saw on Reddit.
