Is 70 the new normal then? Was all that theater just to make the <80 price tag seem better?

Hmm, maybe it’s just on my instance, or maybe the app I’m using… 🤷♂️ (Slrpnk.net and Summit, respectively)
This was enjoyable to browse through, and great job on the formatting too. Thanks for posting!
(The preview picture for that zine seems to be broken btw)
technomad@slrpnk.netto Games@lemmy.world•First/notable 3D games where you could dive below water (and walk on land)English4·2 days agoCertainly not the first by any means, but I was really impressed with the way that the Ori games handled diving. The omni-directional controls are 🤌
After some basic searching, I didn’t come up with anything. You’re probably right about the battery, that’s a good point. Thanks for commenting 👍
Yes, I have the built in recorder. That’s not really what I’m asking for though. What I want is essentially something that functions like a screenshot utility, but for video footage.
It would be like how it is on Playstation or something. (Recording is always live in the background, then when you hit the save button the previous 10 minutes or so of footage is saved)

Nine sols was sick, nice to see it featured!
On your ps2 list: Black, prince of persia, and sly cooper are all favorites of mine. POP warrior within is my all-time favorite though, it’s a bit grittier and darker with a hard rock soundtrack and lots of blood/gore :)
Absolutely, you’re welcome! Donkey Kong country returns is an incredible game and it came out on the wii originally. Tropical freeze came out after, and both games are among my all time favorites for sure 😁
I could be wrong, but I think the orange pi neo may have been the first device to feature trackpads (after the steamdeck of course). It hasn’t actually released yet though, and apparently it’s still in testing stages or something. It will be interesting to see how the Zotac develops as more info becomes available.Love seeing that custom xbox, that thing is sweet! More custom builds and hardware hacks please! :)
I’ve been playing Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze lately. The stage 5 levels are starting to get difficult…

For sure, I thought I was pretty much done with turn based. They just don’t hold my interest the same way as they could when I was a kid. The active dodges and parries are pretty fun though, albeit difficult. I’m really surprised that they didn’t implement timed attacks as well. There was another game that I played fairly recently, Sea of Stars, that did similar mechanics with timed attacks too.
I played BOTW on Wii U for a while when it first came out and (hopefully we can still be friends after this, lol) I couldn’t get that into it. I didn’t enjoy the weapon degradation system, which seemed to be a core concept. I don’t know much about the modding scene for BOTW, but I wonder if there’s mods that can change this and make it more akin to the traditional games in the series?
I bet the stamina mod helps a lot. I could see it being a really enjoyable experience, in a totally different way than the intended experience, with some of those basic changes like that.
Wholesome :)
I’ve been playing Clair Obscure a bit, definitely enjoying my time with it. I also played the Synthbeasts demo a little the other day. It’s pretty good, but really needs a hotswap mechanic for controllers.
What mods do you have on BOTW?
Edit: Almost forgot! Also, I played the Haneda Girl demo for a bit too, it’s really good!

No, that’s the complete opposite of what the fediverse is trying to do. Centralization and corporate ownership are the reason so many other platforms are enshittifying and failing. Having many servers ensures resiliency against that fundamental weakness.I may have misunderstood what you meant.
Damn, for half a second I thought that first picture was real. News got me fucked up…
Good to see you still posting these consistently. Most days I just give a thumbs up and move on 👍
Are you going to do a milestone or compilation post when the time comes? Would be cool to see a ‘best of’ or something like that.
