I resolved to stop paying full price for anything Pitchford and his touch based on a number of factors. I did buy the latest BL game when it was on a big sale and thoroughly hated the main story and various plotholes (seemingly from cuts made by the company/directors rather than the writers). I bought Tiny Tina (again, on sale for over half off) and it was a game with all kinds of bugs that just never got fixed – it’s the first game I didn’t immediately roll a new character to replay after beating it. At this point, I’m not sure I would buy anything else they put out.
I do better with light-based over-stimulation than I did in my early 20s, but I have a lot more trouble with sounds. There’s a retailer here in Japan that has its store music (loud), various TVs and other devices playing separate ads at the same time at high volume, and just people noise that leads to a cacophony that triggers my fight-or-flight. I can’t go in there for long without noise-cancelling headphones. My brain I think tries to listen to everything at once and can’t separate things out leading to issues; I hear them all so I can’t listen to or discern any one of them (which is a more general issue I have that gets worse as I get older trying to hear people over any background noise).
Yup! I grill corn when it’s in season, mushrooms, and make foil packets with potatoes, peppers, onions, and garlic and grill those as well. Also works great for making baked potatoes.
Yeah, Doc, I’m not sure what’s wrong with me, but it seems like I have an early breakfast or a late dinner…
My main sim is a normal sim. When I travel, I get an esim for that country. My current provider doesn’t so esim or I might consider the opposite
I don’t think it adds anything and the extra button press probably reduces accessibility.
But that has nothing to do with the average japanese person nor business.
In some countries, it’s unfortunately the main source of customer interaction. In Japan, it’s been trending more towards Instagram lately, but that’s basically just as bad. Still, it’s often the only way to know if a business.is open that day, hours, etc. at least it’s not Facebook anymore.
How to get average Japanese to adopt something like Mastodon is a whole other thing.
Edit: mobile hates me (and spelling, apparently).
I’ve heard the same for any animal in the wild that attacks people and must be caught and put down. I don’t know how many years ago it started, but it’s been in use for quite a while now.
I mostly write ‘indexes’ these days when I’m not on autopilot, in part since not all of my coworkers have a high English proficiency and just following the normal +(e)s plural makes it easier. My brain really does not want me to write ‘matrixes’ however (and indeed, my dictionary in this browser is fine with ‘indexes’ but not ‘matrixes’). I also try not to be pedantic with verbs whose irregular forms have become less common than their “incorrect” (at least when I was taught) forms. “Shined” being one of these, but I am sure there are more.
I always said “in GIN icks” (gin like the alcohol) based on someone else’s pronunciation years ago. I never realized it was meant to have anything to do with “engine” as a result.

Kinda. In the two-party first-past-the-post system, they were still not convinced they should vote which could actively make their futures worse. Knowing why that alone wasn’t a motivating factor (unless this is all people who want to vote AGAINST Harris (which I highly doubt)) is definitely worth exploring.
Yes but also no as Steve von Trig discovered it a thousand years before and of course gets none of the credit.

Not enough info. I live in a place with earthquakes, typhoons, volcanoes, and tsunamis so it might be worth it. I also like to take my motorbike to the middle of nowhere sometimes and don’t currently have any other device to contact anyone.
I do Rust and Go and VSCode has been fine for both so far. I put off trying it for ages out of a hatred/distrust of MS products, but I’m quite happy with it.
I never learnt them and don’t remember seeing them, but that’s neat :)
What, you don’t place a wrench in the middle of all your communications for safety? heh, I shouldn’t post whilst tired.
Good luck getting a car/home loan when your salary looks like minimum wage (as a former coworker who didn’t claim her tips found out). The whole tipping thing is idiotic. Pay a loving wage to workers.
Edit: also a living wage. I can’t type on mobile apparently
