Same here! I have a very soft (lulz) spot on my heart for these guys. I generally am pretty good but sometimes my depression gets the better of me

These generally are the last stragglers hanging on, making me feel guilty. But that just is an attestation to the amazingness of this plant. I’m rebuilding my plant collection again slowly and am waiting to get another one until I’ve repotted a couple suffering (from the nursery) plants

But they have such personality. Especially since they can live so long and reward your care with beautiful flowers

I have some time to kill before having to run some errands. I’ve started with the first one and it’s pretty fun!

The leaves and spirals are springy. Errr… I have snapped a couple leaves early on; there’s two you can see in the pics. They have a bit of give but are very tender

The leaves themselves are reminiscent of airplants where they seem to have very fine scales or hairs along the stem that gives them a matte appearance and I have definitely noticed some disturbance where I’ve been a little rough or had some contaminate on my fingers

I just took the video, hopefully it works. Just me pulling on the spirals

I show this video whenever possible because it’s so fucking awesome

Thanks for taking the time for both of your comments. I’ve saved them for the future as I can no longer drink dairy and not a fan of how much sugar some of the commercial oat milks have

I had one I used to hold in my arm like a football or a baby. His head would be in the crook of my arm and I’d hold his butt in my hand and he’d drape his back legs over my arm. He would stay like that for hours he was so content

I don’t have any pictures of him handy, but he was adorable. Calico colored with short hair up front and long hair in back. And he was a big boi! He wasn’t fat, just grew very large
