Calibre-Web can be used remotely just fine…?

Wintermute is a distinct entity from the physical mainframe; its mind is only a part of another "potential entity", an aspect of its brain.

You can find the answer to that question in the linked release notes. (What is unique to Forgejo)

wintermute@feddit.deto Beehaw Support@beehaw.org•Beehaw on Lemmy: The long-term conundrum of staying here33·2 years agoAll I can say is it would be a big, big loss.
Beehaw made me believe in the idea of building a healthy network, especially in the beginnings.
I remember the day I asked Chris to federate with us, we used allow-lists, and maybe this should have been the way to go, considering how much trash has happened in the meantime.I totally agree with your criticism about the state of the platform itself, slow progress, missing and broken mod-tools etc. unfortunately it seems that development cannot keep up with the speed of growth and the associated demands.
So, imho, you make the Fediverse a better place that’s why I hope you stay ;)
Personally I 'd prefer windy over tailwind, also I wonder if there is any significant userbase behind leptos. Infernojs was already a strange choice in that matter, compared to e.g. vuejs.
I’m learning Go already, great game, unfortunately it 's hard to find players for a OTB session
Chess - easy to learn, impossible to master!

Sorry, but unfortunately, it is, forcing a instance to sync literally every single post made on the lemmyverse.

wintermute@feddit.deto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•UPDATED: lemmony: A (better) better "All" browsing experience for small and large Lemmy instancesEnglish91·2 years agoHosting an instance myself, I’m not amused, because if forces my instance to literally sync all content there is on the lemmyverse, drastically increasing traffic, storage use etc.
Please don’t force resource consumption beyond any rational usage!
I rented Populous for SNES as a kid but they didn’t have a manual so that was a pretty tough one to figure out.
Same for me, on the Amiga500, especially finding out how hero-raids and Armageddon work ^^
Played the crap out of Maniac Mansion but didn’t realize it was before the PC point and click craze
Got it on the C64, did you find out all five possible endings?
I freaked out finding the fuel for the chainsaw in Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders ;)
some genre pioneers
- M.U.L.E. (Multiplayer Strategy)
- ELITE (3D space sim)
- Populous (Godmode RTS)
- Maniac Mansion (Point & Click)
Although I like the idea, unfortunately, automated posting without proper moderation puts all the mod work on federated instances admins?
wintermute@feddit.deto Lemmy@lemmy.ml•Lemmy (and the fediverse) and GDPR: a clusterfuck waiting to happen?English1·2 years agoI think you, being an admin of a huge Lemmy instance, would be well advised to educate yourself on the difference between “public” and “personal” when it comes to GDPR compliance.
I’m quite well advised, maybe I`m using wrong terms as EN is not my native language.

Running an instance myself, the lack of mod-tools is very frustrating for quite some time now. I totally agree with pretty much all improvements beehaw suggested in the past to solve these issues. It’s a shame how this topic is handled…
